(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I am a new member to this site after getting my 2012 mazdaspeed3 a couple of days ago. Before my Mazda i had a 2005 Volvo s40 which i put a custom intake and Magnaflow exhaust. The volvo was nice yet it didnt have the power i wanted, it not being the 2.5L turbo. Now that i have my speed3 i need some advice on what i should do first. Im looking into either putting an intake or BOV first. I dont think i want an exhaust on it because i got a little tired of it on the Volvo. Let me know what you all think. Thanks Josh |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Pretty sure he was talking about his old S40 not being the 2.5 turbo model

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah I was talking about then2.5 turbo volvo. I'm thinking of getting either the Cobb intake kit or the HKS bov first for my speed3 but I'm leaning more towards the intake. What do you all think? | Not Ranked : 0 score That was the same year as my MS3. I would highly recommend the intake and an accessport to go along with it. The base tune smoothed out my tq curve so much. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Definitely AP, internals and intake if you're not planning on opening up the exhaust flow... you might wanna slap a TP on there for some cheap thrills though

| Not Ranked : 0 score Like they said, fuel pump internals first, then an AP, then the rest. Do not do the down pipe before installing internals. Yeah and donate, and read, read, read. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score Read (this forum's threads), read, read, and then read some more. Start with the Knowledge Base. Every possible question seems to have been answered in depth with supporting documentation (data logs, dyno charts, drag slips). It makes for good reading and will save you a ton of money. I can't resist but offer advice though...after hours of reading it seems the best advice is HPFP internals or the cp-e hphp with lifetime warranty, then the Cobb a/p. Anything done before those two items will either net you marginal gains or increase the risk of engine damage, i.e. running lean. |
