I really like my crash bar, it fit with zero modification. I didn't have to enlarge the holes or anything. It's very rigid, but light weight as well. @JTMS3;

Also sorry to those who wanted to see more pictures. The weather was super crapy in WhOrlando this weekend and wasn't able to get it done.

aznvng 09-22-2014 04:51 PM

i got this on order. +1 for the active duty military discount. just scan them a copy of your CAC card.

Code Monkey 09-22-2014 05:00 PM

It would be fucking funny if they got like 50+ crash bar orders in the first 30 days or so. :D

You should know better than to email them a copy of your cac card (especially advise others to do the same). Just an email from a .mil email should be enough... good discount though.

kbz0129 09-22-2014 10:21 PM

Discount knocks the price down quite a bit, $720 makes this kit a no brainer.

I also emailed them from my military email address and that did not suffice but +1 on the CAC card. Shouldn't be emailing pictures of it, but hey that 20% is nice.

I blocked out the important parts like ssn dob etc... just left the name and picture obviously I'm not encouraging people to fully disclose their cac cards. I unfortunately was never given a .mil email since I was in a line platoon and never did any of the h & s stuff. A dd214 works as well.

If you are x-military that is a huge discount, plus RPM is offering a pretty cool deal right now with the group-buy sale.

Has anyone received the FMIC entire kit yet? I am excited to see all your reviews of it. I know I have been extremely impressed with everything thing about my kit.
Also if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask, plus if anyone in CFL bought a kit let me know I would be glad to help you install it.

Do they have discounts for emergency personnel such as police/fire rescue/EMT? Worth a shot....

Give them a call 888-789-4586, it's always worth a shot.

Tokay444 10-16-2014 02:08 PM

The good news is, they're making a won kit!
Direct from Treadstone's mouth.

ImGryssLOL 10-17-2014 11:49 AM

So I got my kit and crash bar. Installed it but there are several fitment issues that I will post when I can get some pics

aznvng 10-17-2014 11:53 AM

were you having issues with getting the pipes to line up correctly as well? I got the kit on yesterday with the tr6, but ran into several issues with getting the pipes to line up correctly. its holding but i want to readjust it when i get the chance.

Crash bar upper rad supports don't line up on both sides. intercooler hits a/c thing in two spots, the upper hot pipe hits the compressor at the coupler. the upper hot pip to lower hot pipe do not line up well at all. the coupler from the turbo to the hotpipe it WAY to big so I had to use washers on the clamp to make it work (pinching the coupler at the end. The hotpipe coupler was a good two inches to long and had to be trimmed. the hood latch support isn't even close to lining up

One more for now

ImGryssLOL 10-17-2014 12:12 PM

also, sorry for shit picture orientation, looks correct on my phone then reverts when I upload it

Also, meth bung port had a few metal shavings from being tapped that could easily get into the engine as well as the bpv port. (A good half inch little strip of metal and another maybe 1/4 inch)

chaser27 10-17-2014 01:35 PM

Damn... that sucks....

It looks like you may be able to switch the brackets for CrashBar-Intercooler from left to right and not have the intercooler hitting the AC lines though.

It's all one piece

You can't unbolt these and flip them?

It looks like if you put them backwards it will push the intercooler the other way.

Two bolts vs one and they are different sizes. The two on top are smaller. But im not sure if the holes would line up.

aznvng 10-17-2014 02:27 PM

Did you have to trim your recirc line? I had to cut off about an inch so the line wouldn't choke up when I attached the bpv

I had a new jbr recirculation tube and cut about two inches from it and had to cut three off the elbow from the turbo to the hotside pipe on the pipe side. Also on that tube it was the same size to the hotpipe as the turbo so I had to get crafty with the clamp to make it work

aznvng 10-17-2014 03:48 PM

that was a pain point for me as well. I had to really clamp down the clamp in order for it to slip up and down on the turbo. i had a lot of issues trying to get the hot side pipes to line up correctly as the a/c line was in the way. and the cold side pipe didn't seem to want to line up correctly either. i was able to get everything in and clamped it down pretty well so it wouldn't pop off as i was troubleshooting yesterday.

Fjager 10-17-2014 04:33 PM

Damn, sounds like you guys had more trouble with the kit than I had putting my DIY one together.

keychain12 10-17-2014 05:17 PM

Is this kit listed as a BETA kit? It seems like these fitment issues shouldn't be the case if this is the finished product :/

I believe he means left side to right side and vice vera, not flipping it in the same location. if it's able to be swapped side to side it should pull the intercooler forward a bit.

hopefully the jbr kit doesn't have issues like this.

I didn't mean like rotate the bracket and keep it on the same side of the intercooler, I mean like move the right side bracket to the left side and vis versa. Or are you saying one bracket has 2 bolts to the crashbar and the other only has one... cause that would be weird.

I'll try that when I have to take the bumper off again

Mx52star 10-21-2014 08:57 AM

I am sorry to hear all this. I am sure this is just a fluke, they would never have released a kit knowing about these problems. They kit fits perfectly on my car, so I am unsure what happen.
But everyone at Treadstone are awesome people and I am sure they will help anyone who needs it to the upmost of their ability.

kbz0129 10-21-2014 09:04 AM

Think I'm going to stay with my Cx racing piping and just buy the Treadstone core and crash bar after reading these recent posts.
