Oh yeah, and the meth bung is still fucked.
I was told all the issues were resolved before I bought it.

Evidently I was the first of the "new batch".
Looks like tread stone decided to say Fuck it.

Fuck Tread stone. RPM is still cool in my book though.

We have piping kits and crash bars that fit perfectly, in stock and ready to ship. Save a little money and headache.

Shameless plug lol

Quick update in case anyone is still fighting their kit. I was able to stop the hot pipe rubbing on the rad hose/upper ac line/lower ac line/engine hoist hook/whatever the fuck else it was rubbing with this simple fix.

Obviously it would be better if the engineers behind this had done their job, but whatever. I'd rather not perforate half my engine bay.

And this is why I love my undercar routed piping.

It's unnerving that there are still issues with this kit. God bless RPM for still sticking by treadstone during this.

kidlifecrisis 08-12-2015 10:15 PM

To be fair, mine was from the original GB, whether this is needed for the current revision is unknown. But hey, worth sharing since it's cheap and solves my own issues.

BlackFlag 08-12-2015 10:39 PM

Well I'm getting a new revision this coming Wednesday. I've already received 2 crash bars so this will the 3rd. I'm told that 100% it will fit.

I still love rpm, I mean dude was up with me till almost 2am nights ago responding to my non stop emails.
Good price for a decent kit once they get this crash bar dilemma fixed. But damn if I haven't been frustrated for 2 weeks.

Also @jbarone; he's right that was shameless haha.

Ok, so recently (within the past couple months) I installed my TR8, with treadstone pipes, and JBR crashbar. Install was a bitch the t-bolt clamps I felt like were a little too small. Theyre on there, but I doubt I would be able to get them off same with the silicone couplers. Not sure if the couplers were a bitch to get on because it was brand new. Core lined up perfectly with crash bar pipes went on alright, however my hotside pipe from the core hangs lower than my undertray. Currently do not have an undertray on the car but I was wondering if anyone has an idea on how to fix the issue. I skimmed this thread to see if anyone had similar issue but I could not find it. So if anyone has any ideas I would love the ideas. Thanks
