@ImGryssLOL; did you put the whole setup on the car before tightening it all down?

If not just loosen and readjust the piping and you should be okay. As for the CB, reverse the brackets as people have said and that should be AG as well.

yes, I put everything in and wiggled it together before I tightened anything. I was able to get the kit "Installed" in no time at all then spent a few hours trying to get it to fit correctly.

So update. I went back in and moved the "L" hangers from left to right. Little to no improvement.

And that is just for the piping, no fixing the fact that the crash bar doesn't line up at all to the upper rad supports and the hood latch support.

I contacted treadstone last week. Spoke to someone who told me he was going to talk to someone above him and have them call me back asap. Haven't heard back yet... (I talked to them last Friday.

Called them this morning to see what was going on.

Had to start over from square one, had to reexplain everything, how I installed it, what doesn't fit, resend pictures. I asked who I talked to what happened to everything from last Friday when I called. No notes, no nothing. So whoever I talked to was just throwing out some lip service and hoping I would not call back I guess...

Yessir we want to have this work with the TR6-TR8-TR10 so all three options will be available.

I can say from the tr6 perspective that it fits. issues arise is from the way the upper hot pipe hits the a/c compressor line, so i pushed it slightly out of the way to attach the coupler to the lower hot pipe.

For tr6 users on the genpu, you have to mount the core with the inlets up top. if you mount the other way around the connecting pipes will not be able to reach to the cores inlets.

The cold pipe side is not as big of an issue but you will have to muscle it in underneath all the vacuum lines to connect to the throttle body. The recirc line for the bpv will have to be trimmed about an inch in order it to sit with the bpv without choking the line.

To properly mount the tr6 underneath the crash bar you will want to use @RPM; tr6 brackets for the genpu. Reason is because its the only efficient way of connecting the core to the air dams that you will have to remove. unless you can guinea pig some mounting option to the crashbar but the way the core sits the inlets will be in the way. i don't have pictures at the moment but hope this helps. Other than that it fits and works well BATS are well 30 degrees cooler than my old tmic setup.

Do you have any crashbar fitment issues?

Do you have pics of your bar on with no bumper?

Quoting from a different thread, but it looks like you have a prototype crashbar anyway, since you told them you couldn't wait.

So we will get a better one

You would think they would tell me this.

I was told I would get a steel one instead of aluminium. Not a prototype that didn't fit.

I was actually going to buy that prototype kit, but decided not to. I believe there were only 2 prototype kits: yours and Mx52star's.

They told me the same thing "steel bar...fits perfect...no modifications"

Hopefully they will straighten you out...

Well I certainly hope we have better luck with the group buy kits. I'll reserve judgement for now. Sounds like you need to be a little more assertive at this point.

I dealt with Tony when I was trying to buy the prototype kit.

He was doing the same to me, I just called him every day to remind him.

He is probably the reason I did not end up purchasing the kit, and now have a bad feeling about Treadstone all together.

So as it stands now I think there is some posotive resolution, I will keep everyone posted once it happens. Don't want to jinx myself.

But I think they we are going to meet in the middle and they are going to do the right thing.

Thanks for all the updates on your install. I hope things turn out well. This kit looks like a very good deal and I am tempted to get it as soon as I have the money. I currently have a TR6 core with CX Racing piping, but I could have got a full kit with crash bar like they are offering for close to the same price if it had been around sooner. Including the built in meth bung is a very nice touch too!

Still think a cx racing kit + tr8/tr6 + DM throttle body meth spacer is a better option for most.

Modify crash bar can cause insurance to reject your potential claim :/

Didn't know that about the crash bar and insurance. Any users here had issues because of it? I have some time to think about it, so I may just go with the piping kit only in the end, or whatever piping kit JBR ever ends up coming out with.

The methanol bung plug totally seized up in mine resulting in me having to drill it out and re-tap the hole as a 7/16ths. Don't use that aluminum plug, go purchase a bolt that fits.

Mine was real crunchy and I was worried about leaks, with some liquid teflon tape it sealed nicely

Mine was the same. Only threaded half way. Totally cross threaded. I'm hoping Teflon tape will cure it.

Is it the turbo to hotpipe coupler?

Mine is the same size to turbo as it is to hotpipe, I ordered a tapered one from turbo hoses that would actually fit correctly

You should have called them. No mine was cut by hand with a pair of scissors it appears. The owner said some 16 year old kid was cutting them. He is sending me a replacement.

My meth bung plug stripped at the Allen key after maybe three threads. I had two layers of Teflon tape on there and took some vise grips to try and get it out. Was stripping the outside, so I just said fuck it and let it in. It's not going anywhere. My turbo to coupler pipe was also cut by hand but it seals so no cares

Oh and I talked to my Allstate agent specifically about the front crash bar replacement and they assured me it wouldn't be an issue. I'll admit I was not impressed with the Treadstone kit after the meth bung plug stripped and the one coupler is a Bitch to get to if you don't have the car raised. The pipes weren't perfectly parallel there, but after taking it out and being able to hold 2 more psi at 6k on a k04. I am more than happy

I'm a little miffed about this kit and the customer service. I'll update once it is resolved.

The pipes weren't perfectly parallel there, but after taking it out and being able to hold 2 more psi at 6k on a k04. I am more than happy
Wait you took the kit off and it cause that big of a presure drop?

All I can do is encourage you to contact TRE, if you have an issues they will fix it! The owner and managers are great people and will help you solve any issue you have.

My kit which is the orginal is holding up great, my meth bung is perfect, crash bar fits perfect, and piping fits perfect. Fit n' Finish and efficeny should be TRE's middle name, so please be patient as they solve these intial hic-ups. Because I promise you they will make it right and you will love the kit on your speed!

Well the owner is the one that I'm having the issue with. And some guy named Victor. Hopefully they will fix it though.

Sorry I should have made that more clear. After I took my car out with the new kit and was clearly able to flow more air after 2 revisions, I was sold. When I was installing it. I was hesitant.
