Newbie random ??'s Hi all I've been on the forum for about a month and just been reading haven't posted anything yet tho... Anyways Labor Day I bought a 2012 ms3 used with only 3,000 miles on it got it for a steal. But anyways just had a couple questions that I didn't see in any of the noob threads. (Mind you this is my first 4cylinder, front wheel drive, 6speed, turbo car. Love it :) Anyways why do they say to stay out of boost until 3,000 rpm? Why does it seem like when I'm playing on the street (couple of good races) when I go threw gears it feels like 4th pulls the hardest out of all the gear? does the motor start to defuel itself at higher rpm I feel like it keeps power better at mid rpm more them higher rpm... And lastly does Cobb ap have tunes that get rid of tq management. I plan on going all out... I don't do anything have ass so my first mod will be my fuel pump grades an get it out of the way... Any advice will help... Plz don't get frustrated like I said these are all probly newby questions but I didn't see any threads about them Thanks |
 |
1) low end torque will kill your rods. its fine for a little boost, but i wouldnt mash it right away 2) because 4th is our 1:1 3)turbo runs out of breath and boost tapers down in the high rpms 4) not sure what you mean by tq management, but the ap can tune pretty much anything youll want 5) *half not have 6) read the stickies yo |

I think your first mod should be the V.I.P. mod up at the top of your screen. I dont own a speed3 yet but that will be my first mod. from what i have read, first mod is a good motor mount, then SRI, and AP(thats my plan anyway). welcome |
get a job then use search, its mandatory for people to flame you as i was flamed too. |
"i didnt see any threads about them" Complete BS dude lol |
