Next Mod for me

Ok so im not sure what to do next go with internals on the fuel pump or get some exhaust for the car. I already have the SRI, TIH, BOV, and APtuner. Would it be smart to get exhaust or the HPFP internals. I can do a data log at some point and post it, if that would help. Let me know guys i really need the help and my birthday is coming up soon.

If your looking for sound get the cbe. If you are looking for powah get internals, (Ill help you put them in if need be) and then get an etune from one of the teams here. You will spend less money, run safer and get serious ponies to the ground.

Raider 01-24-2012 09:03 AM

With those mods, I would get internals for the GenPu.

Onelovesoccer 01-24-2012 09:03 AM

internals

bigriver 01-24-2012 09:06 AM

Internals, especially when someone offers to put them in for you. Sell the bov, buy a racepipe, profit, go Stage 2 or etune, WIN. Car will be beast.

Also consider RMM. Good cheap mod.

captain slow 01-24-2012 09:09 AM

Man, people are being so nice to you on here today.

bigriver 01-24-2012 09:12 AM

I just had breakfast so I'm in a good mood, haha. Things may change if OP says he gonna get cbe for the sound.

OP- ask for an early present. @eric@edgeautosport has them ready to ship.

bigriver 01-24-2012 10:00 AM

Shit I'm out in Cali. Pics will do, haha.

Get an rmm too. RMM + internals + free install is still less than a cbe.

dont you need the downpipe and the internals to go stage 2? you cant just have the internals alone?

Onelovesoccer 01-24-2012 11:42 AM

i believe the key in that quote is buying a racepipe. RP + internals and you can go Stage 2.

fortressofcomfort 01-24-2012 11:43 AM

Hopefully Eric ships my internals before yours because I want to get that shit in there this weekend. Driving around in safe mode blows. Safe mode. Like its a f'in computer. :fing26:

@Onelovesoccer is correct. Dont need DP, but it would perform better than RP alone.

This is from Cobb's site. Also, stock catback is fine for stage 2, even though the FAQ might imply aftermarket.

Welcome to the FAQ for the 2010 MAZDASPEED3 AccessPORT! If you have any questions regarding the AccessPORT for your 2010 MS3, Start HERE! We will continually update this document as we come across more concerns that users have. If you have further questions or needs, feel free to contact us at tech@cobbtuning.com or call us at 1-866-922-3059.

Can I run a Stage1 calibration on a Stage2 vehicle?
COBB Tuning defines Stage2 as any 2010 MAZDASPEED3 (MS3) that has a higher-flowing turboback exhaust system, Downpipe (DP) with an integrated high-flow catalytic converter or the installation of a test/race pipe in place of one of the stock catalytic converters AND an upgraded Camshaft-Driven Fuel Pump (CDFP). All Stage2 calibrations must be run with an upgraded CDFP and at least one high-flow catalytic converter in the exhaust stream. If a test/race pipe is being installed, keeping the stock 3-way catalyst is a better option. Replacing only one catalyst with a test/race pipe and Cat-Back Exhaust (CBE) will sufficiently increase Volumetric Efficiency (VE) to a Stage2 level.
Since all Off-The-Shelf (OTS) AccessPORT calibrations for the 2010 MS3 employ COBB’s custom pressure-based Boost Tuning (BT), a Stage1 calibration can be run on the Stage2 vehicle. The boost levels may not be as high as those of a Stage2 vehicle; and the vehicle may not run at its full performance potential, but it should operate safely and with increased performance over a stock calibration.
