OBX Test Pipe

Just wondering if anyone has run this test pipe...im not a big fan of eBay things, but when it comes to a test pipe, i was thinkin to just buy it off eBay and save some money. Ive been trying to buy used on here, but it looks to me like no one is selling theirs. How is OBX's products?

It's a foot long piece of pipe. Not much they can fuck up. Go for it. Plenty of people on here are running ebay dp/tp.

No hangers?

I ordered it, just waiting on it to come in. Every test pipe I've seen is just a straight pipe to eliminate a cat, so why shell out and extra $50+. got it shipped and everything for $94.00.

thats what im saying. ive also READ that people have test pipes without hangers and its not a problem? anyone else have any word on that? and yes @dereeek and @Rich-PMS, when you guys get yours in, let me know!

The only thing you might get from no hangers on the TP is more vibrations and rattling of the exhaust since there is no support on the DP-TP connection

not that im too worried, but if worse comes to worse, i could probably get an exhaust ship like midas to weld hangers on there, ya think?

you can get a hanger tacked on real quick at any muffler place for a few dollars, its not that big of a deal

Rattling is a big issue once you go 3inch DP-TP-CBE. So I would suggest that if you do get this, get some hanger rods welded. And then go buy the CS Polyurethane hangers for $40 (granted you also upgrade the rest of the DP or CBE). The OEM hangers are rubber crap that feel like butter.

yeah cs ftw. i will get those too. if the rattling isnt TOO bad, i wont worry about getting the shit welded on.

I was running the ebay test pipe for 30,000 miles with out any issue at all before getting my ebay DP (only issue is have to get new 02 bung welded in no biggie)

Mine also didn't have hangers btw...

Shouldn't make that much of a differance without hangers on the test pipe.

I just purchased a test pipe from them today. I'll be posting pictures of the piece and the install!!! Looks like a pretty decent tp for the price.

love my obx test pipe, perfect fit, welds and not rattling. Very impressed

For a test pipe it should be fine but never get a OBX header, they crack. I had one for a week and it was a POS, it cracked in 3 places. Like they said, if the vibes are bad you can get the old hangers welded on. Hell, if you were in MTL I could weld it for you :13:
