Odd bolt on top of transmission?

Saw this today- it doesn't appear to be a bolt, more like a cap. It feels spring loaded when you push on it and it turns freely (i.e. doesn't tighten or loosen). I may get laughed at but ...what is it? :haha:

I highlighted it in red. Sorry in advance for my noobness. Will be donating soon.

Thats a breather for the expansion of the fluid in the transmission.

It's the engine reset button for when you vent the block.

It's spring loaded so when you ford a water crossing that's deeper than the the vent it'll close and keep the water out. A good reason not to have a CAI
