Default one more toy/car.

Hey guys, I've been thinking about in a couple of years after I pay off my car. I'd like to keep it but also would like to get a car that I always wanted, kinda like a weekend car, an extra toy. I always wanted a porsche cayman in white for many reasons.

If you have a chance and be able to afford an extra car, realistically, what would you get?

I'd like to have a an old school car. Road runner, cornet, stingray , or an f body camaro.

New school, I'd want a Enzo or a Bugatti.

i love a good ol datsun. my dream toy would be a 240z with an RB26DETT and some sexy side pipes....

more realisticaly it would be a 280z with a 280zx L28et motor in it tho.... i could deal with that.

I've actually started looking around for a used Cayman S myself... I probably won't be buying a third car until after my wife and I buy a house (we've been looking for a couple months and will likely buy in the next 6 or so), but the Cayman is on my short list for a 3rd "fun car" (along with the C5 Z06, C6 Vette, or maybe a late model NSX) once I have space for one.

Probably a Caterham R500. 263 HP in a car that weighs 1100 pounds is nuts.
Caterham Cars

Maybe an Ariel Atom. Like the looks of the Atom better, but the Caterham has it in performance.

It'd be a stretch for me to realistically afford a new CTS-V, but it is at the top of my want list.

More realistically, a new Boss 302.

What will actually happen (I hope) is I keep my Speed 6 and my 72 Chevy as toys, and I pick up a new, 2014 MZ6 here in half a year, or so.

current reality is looking like a turbo miata.

I had 7 vws in the past and never broke down, one was a turbo vr6, one supercharged vr6, one big turbo 1.8t, one all motor vr6 and a couple spur of the moment buys and not one of them ever broke down. Besides any car guy knows that VWs turbo diesels go past 300k miles easy while maintaining 45 MPGS as long as they are maintained. I have friends that get 50 mpgs on the highway with the new turbo diesels. Does turbo diesels are great carsand they have potential to as there is big turbo kits, injectors, and tunes available. Can get 300 lbs of torque easy from a TDI V-dub. Maybe new here but not new to nodding and fixing cars. Been on forums for years gaining all the knowledge I can get about.cars besides hands on stuff.

Since I work at fiat I get a lot of Alfa Romeo info. I can tell you this, if the roadster they built and showed as being a possible first American Alfa I'm getting it.
It was like a z3 but with about 260 horse and under 2000 lbs. Out preformed the m3 all over the place. Let me find a picture.
