p2098 engine code experience and fix
 

Here it's my story, I got most of the bolt ons last year and right before I was putting my car away for the winter I was getting the p2096 code. After reading here and not wanting to fl deal with it at the time I put the car. away for the winter. Pulled the car out in the spring and no code until last week.

I started reading again and made a troubleshooting list, jacked the car up and couldnt see any cracks in the Cobb downpipe and the 02 sensor looked tight so I decided to clean my forge bpv And disconnect the battery. After that no code and have been code free for about 500km. I didn't think a dirty bpv would cause that code but worked for me so far.

Code came back.

Turns out the real reason was over oiling my air filter which dirtied the MAF.

Cleaned it and so far no code. Haven't driven much yet though so it better not come back.
