Paint over spray on factory filter

1 Attachment(s)
For those that are using the factory LF05-14-302B oil filters, have anyone had an issue with paint over spray?

I purchased a dozen of them from my local dealer and they all have various levels of paint over spray on them.

I am just wondering if this is a batch issue or whether they all look like this. I did the best I could with the picture. Unfortunately it doesn't accurately show the amount of over spray, but at least it gives you an idea what I am talking about.

Thanks

To be honest, I never even looked at any of mine. But, if it wont come off, fuck it, or return it.

LOL! Nice!

Your right, maybe some paint will aid in break-in!

didnt meant to be harsh:240:

theres all kinds of crap in your engine for the first 20K, overspray on a filter is no worry.
our engines take 5.5L of oil, a .000000002 of paint is nothing compared to the silicone from assembly, the break in metals, and the mass amounts of fuel we are blessed with in our oil

that paint isnt going anywhere, and its in your filter if it did.

ive done 5 track days, 5 oil changes, and used 5 oem filters in 12 000kms.

hows that for break in LOL

get some Rotella 5w-40 and do an oil change every few thousand and your golden

I know... your totally right about how minimal it is when compared to everything else. Just makes it seem like lesser quality.
