OP, why did you guy your car then?.. I'm 100% certain you are not "using" 100% of the power and handling all the time. So applying your theory to just owning a car, you should be driving a metro. You can rev and streech the tires all day long and "use" all the power and handling all the time....and the best part you would not be violatiing any traffic laws.

You really that dumb? When i floor it on the highway i am not using 100% of it? When i go to the 1/4 strip i am not using 100% of it? When i go auto x i am not using 100% of it? or at least trying to? If i got a regult mazda 3 would it perform exactly the same as the speed?

All the crap you say you do is good for lets say 30 days out of the year. Okay, I will be generous and say 90 days of year. How about the rest of the time? You ain't getting to "enjoy" it, so why buy it?
The answer is cause you wanted to, right? It's the same for others wanting to mod their car (use or not use it to its potential)... and that's a good enough reason since this shit is desire and opinion driven.

also, If you didn't realize, you can apply the same logic to pretty much everything, not just cars. Does everything need to have a justification?

fuck buying a fun car with the purpose of actually racing it. I bought my speed with intentions of never once putting on a strip or playing with corners. I bought it because I liked it; plain and simple. I also love modding the cars I own and I knew there was a solid aftermarket for the car. There's absolutely no reason why someone can't buy this car and never race it.

nice. make sure you clean the filter out at times. I can't remember if it was the oil based or the dry filter. Hell, I'd probably swap it out for an amsoil filter now. Glad its still holding up for ya.

He had tons of modifications done to the vehicle, but had never autox'ed or tuned it for his driving style. I got the impression he did it more so for bragging rights. Which is fine, just really expensive. If you got it flaunt it I guess...

I modded mine for driving long distances for work. I can't stand driving slow all then time so I wanted something quick enough to deal with shitty turnpike driving. Maybe one day I'll hit the autox thing but not right now.

A guy who works with my dad has a c6 Z06 as a DD and a Miata that he tracks regularly. I asked him if he ever took the Z06 to the track and he told me never take anything to a racetrack you cant afford to write off. Seemed like good advice.
