Anyone have a list of all the personalization options there are? I found a note about the autolock function in the PDF owners manual but I don't really want to go through all 354 pages to find all the rest individually. I would really like to know the other options before heading into the stealership to get this done, along with some other basic maintinance.

If I unlock my door and don't get in within about 30 seconds it locks again. I assumed it was normal. Is this the autolock feature? I can see where it may be useful but for the most part I find it annoying.

They're at the back somewhere. I'll see if I can find the checklist some dealerships hand out.

No, if I remember right the auto lock feature is for tech package and it locks the car if you walk away with the key fob without having to hit any buttons. The car re locking itself if you don't open it fast enough is just a normal feature of both generations and every trim level.

I'm at the dealer now getting my inspection done and having them do the personalization options. The service writer didn't know what they were and neither did the tech he called in. He did seem very eager to learn them though. He made copies of the owners manual, highlighted what I wanted, wrote a note when I told him they have to enter the info manually, and then said he is going to look at the manual for his 13 mz3. Hopefully they get it it and they don't charge me. I bought the car here in October new so I should get this one free.

Because my local dealer is just as smart a piece of brick, so I doubt he will give me solid advice :)

There are some options for the Gen 1 and Speed 6. You will have to search around as to what they all are. I know you can do the auto lock once fob leaves the vehicle. One click unlock all doors.

My salesman never even mentioned any of these personalizations when I bought the car.
I thought the smart signal feature was only on Honda's and VW's.

When I brought in my 2013 speed to get this done today, my sales guy stated he has never heard of this personalization and he also mentioned how he was in Top 5 salesmen in Florida at the time of my purchase...

You are entitled to one programing from the dealer. I would go to a friendly dealer or contact Mazda Corp customer service and request this service as its included with the purchase of a car.

That's what I thought but then I got my car back from and the dealer basically said none of the options are available for my car because I don't have a smart key.

Incorrect, yes there are somethings that are only related to the smart key. The smart turning signal is not. Look at the index in your manual for Personalization Features. It is near the back it will give you a complete break down. I would go back for the simple fact they turned you away. @Raider; maybe could hook you up with a local dealer with a brain to figure this out.

I asked them to do:
Smart turn - activate
Illumination entry ( illuminate automatically when the ignition is switched off) - deactivate
Power door lock - vehicle speed-response auto lock function - deactivate

All can be done without smart key.

Their service has had issues. Same dealer owns Mazda City (and hosts Mazda Meet & Eat) and they did my vvt.

Got my car from Mazda City, though.

I called Mazda Customer service yesterday and this is what they got from them today.

Had my 2013 MS3 serviced this week (over 1K of repairs, all covered by used card warranty) and they offered to do the personalization options for me. I had ~6 done at no charge. But the one that I wanted most (all doors unlock when hitting the key fob once) didn't stick. They said they tried multiple times. All the others they did worked though. :banana:

Didn't even know personalization was an option! I always wandered why the dam thing didn't auto lock for me when I hadn't been in the car for a while...gonna see about getting that turned on, bought the car new over 2 years ago, I wonder if they'll still honor the free one time personalization...I don't even live close to the town I bought it in originally but it's near the parents so I do visit from time to time, the Mazda dealer here is a bit of a dick, no speed techs either.

Is it worth UN marrying my AP when I bring the car in? As I do have warranty left and would like to still be able to stock out if something happens.....car doesn't normally go to the dealer as I have access to a couple of hoists...

That's a good question. If it were me, I would unmarry AP right at the dealership upon arrival.

They shouldn't charge you since you bought it from them. I didn't pay to get mine done.

Alright thanks I'll be in Newmarket this weekend I'll stop by, they should be open atleast Sat,(where I bought it) the Kingston manager at Kingston Mazda is a dick when it comes to any sort of mods at all so I avoid that place
