Yeah mine was reeky too for the first few runs. My best guess is that its everything breaking in and seating. Gaskets being heat cycled and sticking in place etc etc.

Yeah, its pretty common. Mine smelt like burning oil for a little while today, but the second and third time driving it, it seems to just be the new car smell in the cabin. You will be fine.

Every new car today will atleast have some burning smell. Usually its the adhesive labels they put in various place burning off.... why they feel the need to label the exhaust I will never know.

I like the touchscreen on it very nice, however dissapointed that the very same unit on the wifes CX 5 has a preference screen allowing the driver to make all those personalization changes, like auto lock on exit, smart turn signal etc etc. I am sure someone will find a hack for it soon though as it seems to be the exact same unit.

Hey I forgot to mention, my tires were 47PSI at COLD! LOLOLOLOL. You mentioned yours were 50PSI hence why I checked mine.
Now 37 front and rear 35.

as far as the RPM thing, you take the veteran's expressway? just take dale mabry instead and leave the house earlier so you get your RPMs bouncing around.


Granted, when i bought my MS6 5 years ago, I took i275 every day. I just accel/decel'ed a lot and shifted gears unnecessarily.

The head unit is actually very nice. I love the touch screen and Bluetooth capabilities, and the Stereo quality. Its very user friendly and the nav is quite nice.

Hey @FamiliaGT or anyone else, can you do me a favor and check your mirror turn signal lense covers. Both of mine move around, you can push them side to side.

Lay off the throttle in first gear when you hear a high pitched rubbing sound and you aren't moving very fast.

if you see smoke, your accelerator pedal may be depressed too far down through 1st and 2nd gear, let up on the pedal to regain traction.

Got to agree with the guages, the new guages look like shit, seems like someone got some red paint and went all around the edges of the speedo with em. Also unsure why the hell they changed the lovely amber boost and fuel guage to white as well as the MID to white, yet they kept the AC display amber orange LOL. It doesnt match the rest of the amber / orange elswhere.

I based my judgment by viewing a 2012 and prior dial and colors in dash.
Anyone care to hazzard a guess as to why they changed the colors of the guages and speedo?

Yeah, I guess it's just a preference thing. I personally think the '12-'13 gauges look better and I love the white boost gauge etc.... and the AC display isn't amber orange, it's blue/white. You do have a point though... the gauges don't really match the red button illumination everywhere else, but I still like the whole effect. IMO the blue/red/amber gauges of the '10-'11 look more 'boy-racer-ish'.

I really liked the blue and red guages pre 1012. But for anyone who hasnt actually seen the red guages in person at night, they are really crisp looking, like an led tv picture almost. And I heard somewhere the colors on the guages were changed to white because its less distracting at night. Coming from an 08 I can confirm the red guages are less distracting I find.
