in short, mine is not plasti dipped, and have had zero problems with it fading or chipping. you can call your insurance and set your deductible to 0, then put in a claim after 3 weeks and get it done professionally. you have to push for that flat finish, or else they'll gloss it. like they did with my front bumper. don't be afraid to show them examples of what you want; if you show them a pic of my car, they'll get the picture (no pun intended) the advantage of a paint shop is they bake the paint + they guarantee their work (not you Maaco, gtfo)

hit me up if you want anymore info or have more questions!!

i believe jdhiatt; plasti dipped his, and it looks fresh. he can help if you wanna go plasti dip route
Thanks bro! Haha I may plastidip and use the "glossifier" if I feel like it's too "flat"

Where did you get it from?
The unit was 320+30 for the back up camera.
The bad;
steering wheel phone control don't work.
went you star driving the safety screen comes on and the mini sd and flash drive music can't be navigate.
If you don't get the back up camera or if you do the music stops wend the car is on reverse.
It has to lode the SD and Flash every time you turn the car on and off.
The good;
the price
the volume, menu, and up down wheel controls work
the video safety can be disable
do not use MINI SD OR FLASH drive bigger than 8 gigs
mini sd and flash can hold a lot of music. + the ability to connect and ipot by cable and a Iphone or smart phone by BT

I still can't figure out the reason for the price difference of the MS3 in Canada... Most other cars in the 15K-30K range are very similar in price between the US and Canada right now, but the MS3 has like a 7K markup!

I recently paid just under 30K all-in for a pristine base 2012 CWP with 4700km (2900miles) and thought I got a pretty decent deal. If someone from the US had to pay that, he'd probably shoot himself in the face! ... Granted, the Canadian "base" model does come with:

-heated seats and mirrors,
-nagare bi-xenon headlights that are auto on/off,
-rain-sensing wipers,
-alarm,
-auto-dimming mirror

... but still, there's a crazy price difference that doesn't really make sense.

It pisses me off that the price of an ms3 here is the same or close to the price of an Evo in the US

Just kidding, just read the importance of the motor mounts. That will be first. The. The fun stuff.

Others may have a different opinion, and again this depends on what you're trying to do, but from reading and searching, i've come to the conclusion that the AP/AT internals are the first mods to be done and should be done togther (since edgeauto gives a kickass price for the package). that's if you're looking to immediately improve the power, even if in a small way

fwiw i went cobb sri/tip, at internals/cobb ap (all at one shot) and my stock mount is still doing fine. it does suck when i want a more solid launch. but ap/internals + intake will really open your car up and allow it to breathe. that being said, my next mod is rmm.

my .02

lol, its almost fully built, awaiting bigger turbo and injectors. It will do about 200 Horse on the stock turbo cranked to 18 PSI. Bottom end is bullet proof, only major problem is open diff. 1 Tire Fire. But it will walk a tamely modded WRX pretty well.

rgz; ... could use a bit of advice on fender rolling. I bought a new set of wheels, but the fenders will likely need to be rolled.

I understand / searched / read the idea but could use some guidance. I saw you post once about something particular about the gen2 that needs to be addressed.

I'd appreciate your help if you have the chance.
