PISSED! Friend of mine ripped on m e brake when already applied!!

So I figured you guys would get a laugh out of this. I did but now I'm pissed lol. Me and a couple buddies were headed to the casino, we're waiting in my buddy's driveway he hops in the front seat. We bullshit for a sec then for some odd reason decides to pull on m e brake, WHEN IT IS ALREADY APPLIED!!!! Ever since it hasn't been the same lol, it was only coming up maybe half way and not a centimeter more, then it was working normally, now I just went to go use it and the handle came all the way back I then put it down and repeated 2 times until it only came back up half way. FML

Yeah I gotta get it up on the hoist and check it out. Hopefully it will adjust and not give me any problems. Might tell him he owes me a new one

You don't need to put the car in the air. Take the cup holder part of the console out. Under it you will find a bold you can use to make the ebrake tighter

Well then why was I able to pull the handle without feeling any tension 3 times, then all of a sudden it only comes up half way? I'm just worried there's too much slack in the cable he fuckin put prolly another 2-3 clicks on top of it fully applied. I mean I can try a quarter turn on that bolt and see how it feels I guess.

What the car ever broke from pulling on an ebrake too hard while stationary? Your car is fine. You're VIP. Go to the service manual and read the procedure on page 4-12-2.

edit: Forgot to mention, I believe the rears have an auto adjustment mechanism in them. I noticed when putting new pads on my mom's 3, initially the e-brake had a ton of slack that magically disappeared after a few hard yanks of the handle.
