They never said shit about exhaust or anything though., |

Better be cash in hand and be able to marry it while he waits. Fuck Facebook sales. So much scamming. |
Gnarland, take what Raider has said above and live by it. Make sure you hook the AP up to your car and flash it before you hand over cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
What @Raider; said. Just be super wary. Plug it in and make sure its unmarried before you pay anything. Treat it like a super creepy Craigslist sale. Bring your .45 and at least a buddy. |

Thanks for the heads up though, and out of curiosity, what do you mean make sure it unmarried? does acessports connect to only one vehicle at a time? Also guys, lame as it is, the CEL did pop back on, but its just pulling another p2041 code. something about the cat. I read somewhere that getting an AP, can clear this code because the code is most likely popping cause of the exhaust. Is this correct? |

Cobb charges north of $400 to unmarry. |

J/K - Although it feels just about that complicated when dealing with used APs. |
^LOL Used V2's can sell for as low as $200 here, but $300-$325 is average. We have not had anyone try to scam for over a year. They tried. Did not end well for them. That scammer wanna be moved us to re-add the 150 post requirement to sell. It sealed one of the biggest loopholes they used here. Which we are all proud of. Facebook/Craigslist/other forums sales are a high risk, that unless local and cash in hand, see it, install it, pay or just walk. not worth it. |
I have never seen MSF be so nice to complete NOOB.... Glad to see people have patience. OP you are one lucky SOB |
He got the screws put to him a little, and he kept his cool. This thread could have taken a turn for the worse on a couple occasions had he been a DB |

So far, this is hands down the best car forum ive been on, ive also never donated before, and this is the first one i really wanted too. In the week or 6 days w.e ive been on here, ive learned a host of new information, probably quadrupling my knowledge. I cant stress enough how much the help is appreciated, So so far ive felt lucky i suppose lol. (except for the shit with my new car....) Quote:
Im going to see if i can get the money from a really close friend, and then pay him when the check comes, this way im not driving the car around with an AP for another fucking month or two. |
If you were also a flaming fuckbag, it would not have ended well and you would have landed ion Troll of shame (seen that section? It is glorious) pretty quickly. You are doing well. Our culture may have a history of being assholes, but the current community now is a lot better, imo. |

Most sold and left, got banned, or just stopped coming here. I have a goal to make people leave the FB groups they went to. So much bad information, bad people, bad/shady vendors, just bad. Plus, we have porn. :) |

One thing to mention, you likely will, and should, get flamed if you do not do some legwork yourself. It is great to have folks pointing you in the right direction and trying to help, but in the long run, you will gain a lot more knowledge by searching and reading yourself. You'll come across a lot of information you didn't think to ask about and avoid trying to make someone you don't know your forum bitch. That's how most of us got the knowledge we have and expect others to put in the effort to do the same. |

Also i have a question for all you guys, im trying to now find a used v2 AP for my car. UPDATE FOR EVERYONE... THE MOMENT WEVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.... THE CAR HAS AUTOTECH INTERNALS. ALL I NEED IS A GOD DAMN AP NOW. THE CAR ALSO HAS ADJUSTABLE COIL OVERS, i had no idea |
What a relief and, for christ's sake, they better well have been. Good job getting it figured out. Now for your tune of glory to make you crap your newb pants. I'm excited for ya! |
i am so god damn happy, |

I found all this out by getting ahold of the previous owner myself. The dealership wouldnt contact him for me, but they told me hi s name, after way too much searching on facebook i found him. |
What about a tune? Did the PO let you know if it was flashed back to stock or is it still running a reflashed tune? |

all that good stuff and no accessport. what a schmuck. at least he had internals in there (and hopefully he installed those first). i would probably want to check on my own to verify that just for peace of mind. that's half the cost of a new accessport saved as far as you're concerned, and all the more reason to just get a brand new one. http://i.imgur.com/Q9WInlM.gif |
Lol, this dude dropped major coin (think $2k+) on parts and didn't throw an AP and at least an OTS map on there? Silly. You will benefit greatly from the AP and a tune. While your fuel pump can handle the extra demands of your bolt ons, the stock ECU isn't being very efficient and is going bonkers with the reduced restriction and extra air coming in. |
I would be concerned about that still and would be monitoring FP closely or just pulling the pump myself. That is a huge risk |

See if one of the local NATOR guys have a compression test kit and report back after its done.... |
Quote:
I do not think that is even remotely possible. If the comparison was between which had more assholes, I would say MSF probably wins. Audi forums are 'nicer', in a giant suckfest kind of way, but their douchebag levels are unparalleled in the car forum universe. That is great news OP, glad things are falling into place. Now get your AP and enjoy without fear. |

I personally wouldn't run one tire different than the others. It could be different weight, different circumference. Who knows. You should see if he'll give you a price just for the wheel on that one. Plus, if it's "off brand" it shouldn't be the same price anyway :-) When I bought my winter setup new a few years ago, I paid 220 for the steelies and 350 for the rubber. So if they are in good shape, I'd say it's still a pretty good deal. Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk |
I'm not big on naming cars, but I'd call this one "Jackpot" if the compression is good. You stumbled into a really nice find, and with a little E85 and a tune, you'll have 300+ to the tires. Be sure to participate in Nator meets - you'll find local Speed owners that know WTF they are doing and will pass that knowledge on to you, and before you know it, you'll have made some new friends and lost that fear of wrenching on shit that looks scary. Congrats on the decked out ride! |
