Potential Mazdaspeed 3 Owner

I was wondering if a 2010 MS3 with 35k miles on it for 19k is worth the price.

since there is no real answer to your question with so many different variables, ill just say that its always worth it to someone'... just base your decision on other used speeds in your area and buy what you can afford'

there's also a guide floating around here that shows what to look for in a used speed that also may help you ...g/l

It ain't yo aunties subbie!

I'd ask yourself if you're worthy to own a speed3...if the answer is yes, I'd talk them down a grand or so, or more, depending. Just mention that your aunt has a subaru, with all wheel drive, and how you feel that may be a better fit...that will get them to the table.

In short - No! I bought my 2010 MS3 in nov 2012 with 8000 miles on it for 19K - you need to work that price down to $17.5 at the very least - depending on how long it's been for sale I might offer $16K if there are no problems with it

uh, wait a minute....

So (since I own a speed3) I'd say the one you're looking at is worth at least $23-28k...easy. More, if it has the turbo running.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, but the brief description sounds like you're looking at a previously leased speed. It probably wasn't modded all that much if it was a leased vehicle so if that's the case its probably in decent running order. With that in mind, you shouldn't really spend over 17.5K for it, but in the end it comes down to what you're willing to pay and what they are willing to take for it...

Like @pharaoh313; said, it's mostly an issue of supply and demand. Every market is going to have a different price range for used cars.
So check out a range of dealerships and online listings to determine what the market is around you and you'll know if that's good or not.
From a quick search by me, that'd be a bit high. Autotrader is also showing 50 for sale around me, so that drives the price down.

when I was looking for a speed 3 I was able to get a brand new speed for the price of a used one, there is a speed 3 here at a used lot that deals with lots of fast cars and it was owned by a previous owner on here with lots of shit done and done right and they are wanting 20k for it.2010 Used Mazda Mazdaspeed3 Grand Touring at Cosmo Motors Serving Hickory, NC, IID 11151472
