Price on 2012

I've been considering picking up a 2012 MS3 and been discussing with a dealer nearby who sold me my 2009. I'm looking at one in Crystal White Pearl with the tech package. The MSRP is 27370. He is offering it to me for 24,295 plus Tax, title and tags. From my research this seems like a good price but wanted to see what you all think. Thanks.

Is that his offer with your trade? If so you may be getting skinned a little on TI value. Otherwise I have a couple page post about this already in the forums and anything below 25000 without trade seems to be pretty damn good. Dealer invoice is 25500.

There is a trade involved but actually quoted me this price before I even told him I would be doing a trade and he hasn't seen my car yet.

Sounds like it's a good price. I will just need to be sure to make sure there isn't any tricks pulled in the final deal.

21,767 is good price, I paid 22K for my 2011 OTD, no tech package which I thought was a good deal this past May.

price is good, have financing in hand before you go, negotiate the trade-in price, their best financing and the out the door price. Ask to see any 'fees' etc before signing. Otherwise sounds like a good deal.

I just picked up my 2012 liquid silver speed3 last week, I didn't get the tech package.
Sticker was 24,795 and I paid 23,500. I went to 3 diffrent dealers in Houston and this was the only dealer that was willing to negotiate the price, everyone else refused to budge even after I told them I never in my life paid sticker for any car I've bought.

Sales guy but in the end the manager reniged on what I was quoted so I ended up going out to Haas Mazda out in Katy on i10, and it was pretty easy negotiating with them. Unfortunately there's not many speed3's in Houston, silver wasn't my first choice of color, but it was the only one they had there without the tech package. I was just there on Saturday to pick up my plates and they only had 2 black ones left but both have the tech. Hope that helps, but if not hell you can always buy mine hahaha

I think I'm going to get one from Joe myers, one fresh of the boat, next week. We'll see what the manager says. If he does to me what he did to you, I've got a quote on the one in Clear Lake. That one has a 100 miles on it already, so it isn't my first or second choice.

I'd stay clear away from Myers...the sales guy I had quit, and they've got a pretty bad rap. The manager Craig is a fuckface, he got fired from Haas Mazda right before I went there for screwing up deals (why my sales guy quit) and the thing about the cars there is that Myers cars is they they put tint and pin striping on every car and guess who's paying for it. It sucks that I couldn't give my sales guy a sale but even he told me fuck this place go buy it somewhere else if I could.

typically when saying OTD, that includes your taxes, fees, etc.

just throwing that out there. Majority of states will allow you to only pay tax on the NEW car price, when trading, hence the reason I asked.

that is still a good price considering but not a great price, imo.

OTD price should include that. It is the bottom price you pay after all fees.

Awww crap.... The guy i've been dealing with is named Craig. And I just put a deposit down on a speed3.

I did asked if there would be any extras, like tinting and VIN etching or whatever, and he said no, not if you order it fresh off the boat without it.

It seems like a good deal though. What do ya'll think? $25700 walkout for a MS3 without the tech pack? It doesn't seem like anyone in Houston will go lower than that. Clear Lake is offering $26100 for theirs, but it already has 100 miles or so on it.

24795 is the sticker (MSRP) price. Then you pay tax, title, and license fees. Which then pushes it up into the 26k range, depending.

It was 23900, plus TTL, which put it at 25700 total (walkout/out the door). Still a good deal, or bad?

Or do you mean to tell me you got 23500, which included TTL? B/C 23500 out the door is an insanely good deal, no matter how you dice it.

No that was 23,500 before TTL.
Just don't let Craig back door you in financing. Make sure when you get in there you refuse to pay a penny more than what u agreed upon. Good luck

Unfortunately not. The dealer and I agreed on all numbers and he told me he'd have no problem getting me a Crystal White Pearl 2012 but now 3+ weeks later, he still hasn't been able to. He claims to be still working on it but I'm not holding my breath.

I paid dealer cost through costco auto program for my 2012 w/ tech package. The dealer also reduced it by another $300 for customer loyalty since i bought a 2 and cx9 this year.

to the OP:

is that number including the interest you'd pay on it for the life of the loan? they can do very tricky things with the interest rate.

also, you have to consider how many years people are financing the car for. they can again play with the interest rates to give you "deals".

also, what about the down payments you guys put down? some people on here may be saying that they're getting a 2012 with tech for $800 less than the next guy but he may have put down $6,000 to get that price.

I bought my 2010 with tech back in February. After their 3rd offer to me, I told them I'd throw in another $3,000 for the downpayment and my total cost for the car came down $600. In retrospect, I probably should have beaten them up for more but my wife and I were on single income at the time and their bank wouldn't budge from a 4.4% interest rate (if we both had jobs I probably could have gotten nearly 0% financing and cut a good $1500 off the total cost of the car).

so ainitthelife98, you gotta consider what posters are putting down on the car, the interest rates they got, the life of the loan they took, etc. and without knowing what your buying situation is, it's hard to say if you're getting a good deal or not. if you're putting zero down and have terrible credit, yeah, you're getting a good deal without a doubt

OP, did you get your MS3? If so, what was your OTD price ( includes tax and license)?

I was offered $25.3k plus TTL for a '12 CWP w/tech package. I thought that was a good deal based on my Truecar research. But it sounds like some of you folks got it for under $26k OTD. I'd like to stick to that price level!
