Question about Stage 2 Cobb Tuning Kit I have a 2011 mazdaspeed 3 that I just got about a month ago. I'm looking into modding some stuff on it and I found a couple packages that I may get. The first one is this: MAZDASPEED3 Gen2 Stage 2 Power Package with V3 Does anyone know if a 33% hp gain would do that much do the car? I also found a stage 3 kit I was thinking about but it doesn't really say the hp gain on it. Link is below: MAZDASPEED3 Gen1 Stage 3 Power Package with V3 Does anyone have this or know of anyone that does? How much of a gain is it about? Any help or tips are appeciated! :) |
Get fuel pump internals, an AP, RMM, 3 inch intake, test pipe, and either e85 or WMI along with a tune from Lex, Atvfreek, or Finkle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

read your welcome PM and do some leg work. internals, RMM, intake, TP/DP, tune...that will net you best bang for your buck. |
Op you have two perfectly valid answers. /thread |
Dude. It comes with a Cobb vehicle badge! |
throwing those parts all on, using an ots map= maybe 30/40hp, e-tune= more similar parts could be put together cheaper. they are all good parts though and if you have $ to throw on now, go ahead. i'd still say hold off a week or two and research more first. |
I just recently purchased a ms3 and when initially searching for go fast stuff, the cobb stage 2 looked attractive. Since joining and searching there are many cheaper options out there. |

if we're talking strictly go fast parts and what is the best bang for your buck route... internals + AP, intake, TP/DP, corn+e-tune..(not all inclusive but the staple go fast parts) |
I stand corrected, by cheaper meaning bang for bucks. |
Ur best mod comes via donating to the forum. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk |
I'm seeing a lot of responses to find different parts so that's probably what I'll end up doing. I'm thinking about starting off piece by piece. I'm thinking getting a CAI and then maybe a turbo back exhaust to start myself off. Anyone have any suggestions on some good manufacturers I could get them from? I saw a nice corksport turbo back but I've never heard of corksport before so I'm not sure if it's a good manufacturer and then I'm thinking just a simple K&N CAI. |

I can't tell at this point if you're trolling all of us or just fucking lazy...think I'm wrong? get an intake and turboback exhaust before internals...hope that works out for you... |

Don't listen to one your buds...does one of your buds own a speed3? if the answer is no, stop listening to him. If yes, he too doesn't read much and you should stop listening to him. Just take literally 1 minute to search. You'll find everything you need if you search. (internals = fuel pump internals). stop being a lazy ass. |
I joined few months ago and i did not know anything about DP, TIP, RMM etc…… until i read stickies and noob info :) Anyhow i was thinking i will just get SRI and some other bolt ons and be happy….. That was until i read this entire forum (well most of it) and realized there is a method to the madness. Since then i chose path that makes sense for me, first i started with RMM (rear motor mount) from there I'm looking at Fuel pump internals, SRI + TIP + AP. that is just to start with…... |

Question about Stage 2 Cobb Tuning Kit @kmatias93; bro all the stuff for the acronyms and literally all this stuff can be found pretty easily. I hope you're not trying to troll because the guys on this thread are actually being pretty darn nice to you compared to what would've happened in the past. I think in an earlier post you said something about not knowing corksport. They are a good brand with real good customer service. Look at James Barone Racing as well. The first thing you need to do though is just spend a few days reading. This platform has aged and pretty much every question you can ask has been answered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Your "buds" need to realize that this is a direct injected engine. This means it needs insane amounts of fuel pressure. You can't just add a turbo back exhaust on stock internals and that's pretty much the first thing you'll read on here. You can get away with an intake and test pipe, but that's about it. But definitely monitor the fuel pressure, because there have been a few incidents where the stock pump can't even keep up with stock intake let alone an SRI. |
Downpipe+big turbo kit+turboback= Your engine having air flow for dayzzzzz do etttttt |
I've bought an intake, test pipe, fuel pump internals, and an accessport. All brand new, spent a grand total of 1200 bucks. You can spend four grand on that cobb stage 3 and we can probably call it a drivers race on who's car is quicker in a straight line. Research is key. |
