Question about the turbo sound
 

I just bought a brand new mazdaspeed 3 2012 and i do not hear the Turbo sound ( PSSHHH)
Do i need to buy a blow off valve or something? Is it just me and the car do the sound?

the "turbo" sound is actually more of a whistle sound. This turbo is small so you REALLY have to listen to hear it. I suggest not going full throttle rather go 3/4 throttle and you'll have a better chance of hearing it. That's Pshhhh sound you're refering to is a blow off valve sound which happens after you left off the gas while in boost. If you get an intake you'll be able to hear it better.

^ What he said. Now, as politely as I can say it, please get familar with and use the "search" function of this board. Understandably, there is a high level of intolerance here for lazy guys who don't want to look first before asking us to answer the same question that has been asked and answered about a million times.

The stock air box really muffles the air release from the stock BPV. And it is restrictive. Extremely restrictive. But, the stock BPV is excellent and is very hard to improve upon. Get a good aftermarket intake, either SRI or CAI style. It will greatly improve performance and the added benefit will be that you can hear the valve release excess boost during shifts.

Whatever, don't listen to them. Get a VTA bypass valve and cold air intake (not sri), catless downpipe, cat-back exhaust, and no tune. Rock that fucker on some 50/50 E85 shit. While you're at it, add a second wing to rear spoiler, it helps with downforce, and some taller front springs help with traction...
