Quiet Intake After Forge
 

My corksport Sri with the forge bpv doesn't roar like it did with the stock bpv but only on the initial startup seems a lot quieter now. I did some searching but didn't come up with anything other then the difference in which is louder can or sri. Running blue spring no shims on the forge v1. Any insight?

Seriously, lol. It has been unusually cold here. -6 windchill -20 but it's garaged. Idk just seems to be not as loud. Driving wise still the same.

What exactly is your question? Do you want to make more noise or less?

Just wondering if this is the norm really. Just seemed to be noticeable. I'm just posting to see if anyone else has run into this. I wouldn't mind it being loud like it was. Like I said it's just during the initial startup not the same as it was. Those first 15 seconds use to sound like a jet engine. Now it's a bit tame.

Its cause so cold. Engine cold revs at about 1500rpm. Warmer weather 30+ it should cold rev to 2,000 or so. Both will idle cold at about 1,000 then warm idle wherever you set it in atr.

Thanks for the reply jm211. Makes sense. I just start it up at 6 am in garage n finish getting ready while it warms up haven't paid attention to the rpms since it's been so cold out.
