The only reason I'm starting to get annoyed with my V1 is because it is so sensitive to newer Audi and VW lane-departure/blindspot warning systems... Those fuckers can ruin a highway trip pretty easily if you're pacing with them...

Apart from the cop being a dick, were you speeding and was his estimate accurate? If so why should you get out of it? I copped an estimate of 100km/hr in an 80 zone a few years ago because the estimate was spot on.

He was looking in his rear view mirror and I was about 300 yards behind him haha, his guess was pretty close about 5-10 mph off. I was on an expressway going 70 in a 55 at 11 pm. No other cars on the road except us so I didn't see it being a big deal

I love my v1. I used to have an escort. I love the arrows on my v1. Its not the best but but still in the top. I love knowing where the cop is.

Easy solution, out pace them...

When I did 85, other cars would keep up. At 95+... they don't even try. Problem solved.

The only problem there is that until you're several miles ahead, it can be hard to decipher a REAL threat, especially if you come up upon another VW or Audi in the process... lol.

My dad has an older v1 (like 2003 never updated) he bought me a v1 for Christmas with newer firmware and it was absolute garbage. When pulling into work, it picked up every single stores alarm. Rarely picked up cops (I tested by driving with both of them in one car. Old v1 would go off new one would not.

He sent it back and supposedly there isn't anything wrong with it. The newer firmware is pretty damn sensitive, it's an expensive radar, . Shocked it would pick up a store alarm like a $40 radar would do. Supposedly they said they would turn something off to help quiet it down a bit, but I'm not sure if that helped or not.

Did you read the manual, I understand there is sensitivity adjustments you can make.
