Random painting (not Picasso like)

Got bored today and painted some parts.

Masking tape, then lightly scuffed the surface with a sink pad. Alcohol wiped them down.

Will paint the IC Tubes with VHT HT Ceramic Paint when I get some more cans.

Looks really sharp! I'm very interested in seeing how the FMIC looks when mounted behind the grill. Very stealth I'm sure. Nice work!

Love the stealth FMIC should look awesome

It probably won't have any negative impact since that intercooler is huge, but any added layers of material, paint included, will insulate it and reduce its cooling properties. You can have it painted with thermal displacing paint, but its not cheap

That said... It looks good, and you won't notice

Looks good, what made you choose to paint the DP?

I'm no expert on it. (probably talking out my ass):tongue1:
To help keep the heat in the DP, expels the gases faster. Less heat up front.
Increases temps, increases velocity. As the exhaust gases cools down, expands and it slows down when it gets to the exit. Friction has to do something with also.
Someone that knows more, please chime in lol. :spankme::09:

Due to past issues with SS welds rusting (this was not on this platform or from any vendor here) I'd be tempted to at least coat the welds in something for extra protection...but we get lots of snow/salt here in the winter. I just hate getting under the car and seeing rust.

Stick on shields and wraps with straps are other ways to get the same effect. I just like the paint, I think it's a cleaner look.

That too, Florida probably isn't as bad as up north with the snow and salt, but the salt water air here can do some brown stuff.

IIRC, coating AND wrapping has negative effects. Meaning the wrap will eventually rot.

Subbed for pics of FMIC on car
