Rear Motor Mount Alternative from Steeda 1 Attachment(s) This is for the MK III Focus and ST, so it will fit our 'Speeds. It comes with 70 and 88 duro inserts and costs $139. Steeda 2013-14 Focus ST Rear Engine Mount - Free Shipping! I am going to try it as soon as I have the money to splurge.... |
TBH, I don't know why you'd try to retrofit a RMM from this when we have plenty of perfectly good options made for the Speed3. You can get a JBR 88 duro for cheaper than that. |
Yeah, I agree with the above. We already have 5+ vendors who build this part very well. I don't think this vendor is bringing anything new to the table with their version (which doesn't include the bolt you need to put it in an MS3). |
More options are always better. Looks alot like the cpe. |
I suggest this because Steeda is known for making quality parts, and this is a nice alternative to some vendors who may only offer a very stiff bushing. An open mind is a good thing. Yes, we have a lot of great vendors already who offer quality parts, but one more is not going to hurt. Plus, a lot of folks seem to miss CorkSport offering bushing options with their RMM, so this might appeal to those people. Many Focus guys are using MS3 parts on their cars, so why can't we use some Focus stuff on ours (I know many use the Focus E-Mount on the MS3...)? Just makes sense to me. |
The only reason to use the E-Focus mount is for the rubber bushing, which is a nearly imperceptible NVH increase but significant improvement over our floppy dingus OEM. These poly bushing mounts are all going to have some vibes, and this looks just like the other first generation mounts we've already been through. |
Just an alternative I thought I would mention. No one has to try it, but it might be worth it. I can always be the one to try. |
Torque- After 1 day with that Steeda mount I predict you will be ripping it out of your car like you're starting a lawn mower. You will hate it. Even the softest (red) poly bushing. CP-E 60A stage 1 would be the bare min to me - and perhaps the max for your tolerance. . |
lol why oh why not just get JBR!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I had my jbr for like 30k miles already and it is still in great condition. Even my wife felt the improvement |
I agree. Never too many options. Good luck with the mount Torque. Let us know how it goes. |
