Recirculation sound after letting off gas is gone! So I'm running an Sri+tip (corksport) with a Cobb xle running 50/50 and (rmm, springs, rsb, etc.) After the tip install I haven't heard my Sri pressured air recirculate back....even running hybrid mode on my bov I don't hear shit......yes I know its fuken rice but I'm not worried about that, my concern is if its safe I'm saving up for an AP so that's coming but currently I have no idea what's going on and why it doesn't sound off whatsoever Thanks in advance. |
You obviously fucked something up on the install if you're not hearing it recirculate. Check all your hoses and make sure they're all tight, make sure you haz the correct spring installed, etc. |

cobb xle wow big spender, thats almost an ap right there really no need for a bvp at all right now |

check and see if you have a boost leak after checking all the hoses |

Any suggestions? Let me ask this, when you guys installed the turbo inlet pipe did it take the sound aways??? |
installing the tip should make it louder especially if its the cs one |

sounds like a vacuum hose is disconnected or torn and not allowing the bpv to function correctly. |
Sometimes the hose going to the manifold gets kinked or splits from rubbing against the hood or the radiator support. |
remove your BPV and give it to me. problem solved |

Put the stock BPV back on. See if that helps. If not, you have a leak somewhere. |

I think you have to lube the internals of that thing every so often, make sure its not stuck. |

Cool man, I was just throwing an idea out there. |
The XLE seems to need re-lubing more often. Mine was actually stuck closed brand new. http://accessecu.com/downloads/BPVinstall.pdf Cobb recommends ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant, P/N 100-9911 EDIT: looks as if it was a hole. Cobb does recommend frequent relubrication. |

Even with the stock bpv there's no sound, I had a forge v1 and there's no ninja clashing |

You could try decreasing the pre-tension, although it sounds as if you have another issue. If none of the bpv's are making any sound, it must be one of the above suggestions. |
is your tip securely connected to the turbo? |
If you are building boost, you should hear the air escaping from somewhere, or hear another noise called "surge". Do you have any other strange issues that resulted after your install? |
Does the Cobb XLE partial dump to atmosphere in hybrid mode? If it does, you should put your hand in front of the outlet and have a friend rev the engine to see if you can feel air dumping out. If you still can't, you probably have a big leak somewhere after the turbo (between TMIC/FMIC and TB), although you'd get idle issues if you had a big leak. If that isn't the issue, it's remotely possible your turbo is dead and either isn't spinning or isn't compressing any air at all. |

Everything else is fine I feel the boost building and I don't hear any surges or feel... |

How would I know if the Turbo is not compressing air? But then I wouldn't be getting boost in the first place right? |

If your surging then you will hear it, sounds like mini sneezes. If you don't hear shit than that's something else entirely. Obv if he had a vacuum leak car would run like shit. If you have a boost leak is a possiblty but you should still hear it recirc. check the bpv gasket, go buy a bike pump, see what pressure it'll take for it to open. If you need a walkthrough on what to do pm me. |
wow...same exact thing happened to me lol...i have the cpe nano and an hks ssqv recirculated...and you can really hear it flutter....then I installed a corksport tip and the sound drastically got quiet....u can barely hear it....i have no clue why this is |

But ill for sure pm you and hopefully you can help me with that |
Okay so I solved the problem..... I fooled everything off again and reinstalled it while putting everything back in I noticed there was a kink in the recirc hose and was being bent by the intake because of the angle I had it on..... I cut some of the hose to shorten it and changed the angle of the intake...... problem solved now I'm gonna go easy on the pu till the ecu can catch the air/fuel trims again and see if the bov gets louder lol jk |
