Relocated ecu question

So i always had rubbing issues since i installed my corksport intake. Today i decided to move my ecu and clean my engine bay a little. I ve seen people placing it on top of the fuse box. So i went ahead and did that, i opened a hole and bolted the ecu to the cover. Now im wondering what if when its raining some water gets there and goes through it and messes up the fuses? Should i put some sealant? Or not really neccesary?

You could get a battery relocation battery box from corksport or a battery tray w/ 51R battery and put it in the existing box.

I modified my stock battery box and am pretty happy with it. I cut a hole in the side and mounted the ecu in the stock location but the back plate is in the battery box. Gives the ecu room so it does not touch the intake and does not touch the battery either. There may be better solutions but this worked for me.

Edited to add - I would definetly seal the holes. A lot of people use velcro when they mount the ecu to the fuse box. This way they can get to the fuses easier and do not add extra holes in the fuse box.

I know I am reviving an old thread, but I wonder if this would work with a 3.5" intake?

Looks like it only gives you another .25" - .5" at best. Definitely not enough room for a 3.5" intake.

@TORQUERULES; you might need a 51R battery if you want to fit a 3.5in intake.

You could relocate the ECU completely into the battery box next to a 51R. That's what I did. Took a couple minutes of mocking up and then it all went together pretty quickly with some loose bolts/spacers I had laying around the garage and a little cutting. These pictures are with 3" intake, but there is more than enough room for a 3.5".
