Default Reman gone wrong

Haven't posted here in a while... bought this engine from edge about 18 months ago. I picked up alot of wot and pt knock from the beginning as well as burning oil.

It blew a head gasket in december of last year and has sat since, I finally got around to pulling it.
It ships off tomorrow. Hopefully they cover it.

Atk has done pretty well so far, they are paying for the shipping to get it back for inspection.

Sorry that happened. I would never buy one of those engines. Too many issues. Good luck with them!

I agree. I too dealt with the same pain. Stay on them and do NOT trust the new engine is good to go.

I’ve heard of the issues with the engines, I do have to say something for their customer service though, they have been pretty good throughout the whole thing.

I just got the call saying they accepted the claim and will be sending another out.

New engine is doing the same thing, an atk admitted they have a hard time building these engines, edge no longer sells them and have offered to give my money back if atk credits them. I’m going to try to go that route.
These are terrible.

I'm not an "engine builder", but I built mine and it has rolled past 5000miles so far.

I'm having a hard time believing a business that "specializes" (I use that word loosely) in reman engines has a "hard time" building this engine.

I too am not a builder, but I built mine and it's doing great after 35,000 miles and 67 NASA track days.

Atk must really suck at building engines or must specialize in building engines for the Sunday school crowd.
