Default "Secret" Compartments/Hidden Spaces

Anyone know of any good "secret" compartments or hidden spaces in the MS3?

When I had my 350z there wasn't a traditional glove box. Behind the passenger seat was a large locking "glove box" that you had to lean the passenger seat forward to access. It was nice to be able to put my GPS/Radar detector in there before getting out.

I've been using the space in the glove box behind the actual door compartment since I got my MS3, but I would like to install a lockable safe somewhere else in the car. Any good spots?

Just to hide your GPS or Radar detector? I'd just put it in the glove box.

Now if you're trying to secure your pistol, buy a lock box and chain it to your seat. Use that.

I have one but it doesn't really fit well under the seat and I don't want it out in plain sight. My goal is to find a nice spot for it somewhere in the car and secure it there. I need to buy a new locking cable for it too.

And I liked having my radar detector/gps locked up. It was the extra peace of mind. And the glove box is always checked in a break in. I want it somewhere not normally searched.

For longer term storage while parked I stick my pistol in the spare tire area sitting on the spare under the cover, or in the left hand side right next to it. (Genpu)

Oooh I like gun storage ideas...

I went to a gun range with the girlfriend for the first time for a groupon.

They only gave us .22 caliber hand guns though.

Which apparently isn't enough power to stop a human being?

I hide my locking wheel nut key in that space under the cup holder. That cup holder / plastic surround thing pops out really easy and there is a bit of space in that area to put shit. Not many people breaking into the car would ever know to look in there.

I dunno maybe it's a Florida thing but my gun stays between my seat and center console. When I really need it Im not going to have the time to reach the trunk, undo it from a chain and take it out of a lock box, just sayin. If something needs to hide, like said above I put it in the jack compartment.

And FYI alot of people get killed by .22. It does not have the same stopping power as the larger calibers but hitting center mass will kill you all the dame. Something for starters as self defense I would recomenda .380

You missed where I said long term parking scenario, like at the airport when I travel.

A .22 has a very small chance of killing someone in center of mass, you need a head shot where it penegrates then bounces off the inside of the skull making scrambled eggs of a brain.

I carry a .380 but don't recommend it for an only gun, its not fun to shoot and is too snappy and ammo is expensive. For range time I like my 9mm because of cheap ammo and .40 cal. Second best.

To breakfast...I recommend hitting a gun range and renting multiple models, you can determine which caliber you like and which gun feels the best to you.

Unfortunately there isnt shit for compartments in the cabin area on these cars. I wouldn't leave my gun in the car anyway. Ccw for the win, and I wouldn't want to risk somebody stealing it. Radar detector and how just go in the glove box, if they want it that bad, they can fuckin have it. Weed on the other hand, just pop your shift console up and there is plenty of room in there.

Edit: best compartment I've ever seen was in a Mercedes g wagon the g500. The floor in front of the back seat popped up. Looked like regular carpet, car had to be in reverse and press a button under the dash for it to open. It could fit a 12 gauge pistol grip in there. Shit was gangster.

Use the stock air box. But then you will have to sell the Sure Anus SRI.

Too lazy to read thread, but if someone is determined enough to get into your locked car, i highly doubt any sort of locked compartment is going to keep them from entering....

Oh ya, and his maf volts are 4.7ish so he will need bigger maf housing and a map sensor that can read high enough (3bar is almost maxed at 27psi... Aka spring pressure)

I carry 9mm or 45 ACP. I can't carry at work since I work for county government, so leaving it at home or in the car are the only options I have. Been looking at lock boxes for the car... Guess I'll just have to buy one and see what works.

Don't need to go south of the border to shoot. You can get a PAL (Possession Acquisition License). Take one for restricted firearms and even us passive Canadians can buy Glocks and shit to shoot at the range.

I believe the point of a locked compartment is to be a very effective deterrent to the casual thief (assuming you can hide it out of sight from anybody looking in from the outside). Pro thieves don't smash your window, they tow the whole car away.

Also, if you want this hidden compartment to be discreet, you cannot access it while other people may be watching. Might as well put a neon sign above your car saying 'SOME SECRET EXPENSIVE SHIT TO STEAL IN HERE'

I don't like "hiding" stashs. They need to be behind a lock and key or combo so the po po need a warrant to open it. Fuck "hiding" shit. And since the Pu glove box doesn't lock I need somewhere else.

Really fucking stupid to come on and ask for good secret hiding spots in your car on a public forum...

If you have something valuable to protect, keep it with you next to your concealed carry weapon of choice.

Don't leave your shit out in the open and the police wont have probable cause to search your vehicle...

damn you kids need to do some research before doing illegal shit.

And if a K9 positively responds anywhere on your vehicle, it'll be torn apart and that lockbox will magically open hiding your stash doesn't hide the odor.

(being a police K9 handler, most of us already know the drill with you kids)

I don't leave shit in the open and never have. I keep my shit secured inside the car behind a strong combination lock (no keys to be taken from me and used). I'm specifically against this. That's why I'm asking if anyone had any good places they put things. I'm going to find a nice spot and secure my pistol safe on the inside using the locking cable. But really it's just some mary jane and it's only a pay out ticket in my state. I'm not that worried.

I was hoping for a good discussion on "safe spots" inside the car and hiding places but obviously everyone on here is 12 years old and has no use for such things, whether it be for guns, expensive items or the little bit of weed. I really am looking for a place for my radar detector and GPS too. It was a semi-aside for a weed hiding spot.

I'm sure the cops are watching every move we make here on MSF and are going to pull me over as soon as I leave the house tomorrow and go right to any hiding spots I may have for my radar detector and two joints.

That glove box is so deep in my MS3, if you could create some sort of false wall about 3/4 of the way in nobody would ever know it existed even if they were looking in there. I couldn't believe it the first time I reached in there. My friend's Mazda 6 basically just has the spot behind the drop down door and the door's pocket which is all most people expect.

I know at least one cop thats reading this. Your stash is mine. Be afraid. I dont know where you live but lock or no lock i dont need no stinking warrant to get into a locked compartment in your car if it smells like da weedz

Since you drive a pu like some of us do, just stick the weed in your hood scoop and call it a day.

I had thought of a creative idea to be able to secure valuables in the gen2. I thought about cutting a whole about 6 inches wide in the back of the passengers front seat where the net is. Probly about 8 inches in side the pocket and put a zipper on it to be able to zip it closed. the net is see through so if someone breaks in they wont see it and if the zipper is right where the strap presses the seat nothing will be noticable.

other wise.......poop shoot
