Default Single exhaust on a pu

Due to cnt with exhaust shitty fitment I got rid of the axle back portion of the exhaust. I didn't like the gaping holes it left. I purchased a stock axle back and bam. Hour of sawzahhing and this is what I got.

I am kinda confused about this... you have the single exit under the car, so you bought a stock axle back, cut the shit out of it so the single exit would still be single exit and then put it on so you would have a fake looking exhaust?

Right?

this is the most confusing thing I've seen...you wanted a single exhaust but the look of dual exhausts? there's a member trying to sell his single exhaust set up for a PU...I feel like that may have been your best route? I dunno man...your car so to each their own but I'm not sure I would want to hack up an exhaust like that to get the appearance of a dual exhaust when you were aiming for a single exhaust..I'm just a little confused..

I would rather have a single exhaust but i have 2 holes for tail pipes. Sure i could have 1 3' tail pipe and one empty hole but that just looks weird. I am waiting for the day to get rear ended and have insurance pay for a single exit bumper. I have been driving around with no axle back for the past month and did not like how it looked.

wasn't exactly thinking this when I saw single exhaust.

your goal is to achieve the sound of a single exhaust while retaining the dual cutouts.....????
why not just buy an axleback...

If you get 3" exhaust and the axleback portion has shit fitment(cnt), and bangs on the rear suspention constantly, what do you do? You can A. pay an exhaust shop to fab up a mandrel bend duel exhaust $$$$ B custum fab single exit with a empty hole $$$ C down turn with no tail pipes $ or D sawzah a stock axleback and a down turn.

@usgiorgi; I didnt know that the cabin air intakes were in the back. Thanks for the clarification. That must be what that catless exhasut smell is. Ill get right on that. Also the bumper started on fire since I did not weld the pipe at a 30* down away from the bumper.

If any one can offer up a less than 50$ solution to having no axle back portion, with aesthetically pleasing tail pipes Im all ears. I have a full 3' exhaust with tail pipes and A LOT less carbon on my hatch. Should have gotten the UR exhaust

Unless your car is air tight, which it isn't, you will have carbon monoxide, sulfur, carbon dioxide, and other awesome gasses in your cabin. Once again, the problem will solve itself. BTW, even the shadiest of inspection stations will laugh in your face and call you a retard before failing the car for that handy work of yours. Most states require the muffler to have an exit somewhere outside of the body of the car, not under it you fucking idiot! Reason? Because the fumes rise. They're lighter than air and they go up. So because you have it exit under your car, especially in a confined area such as behind the bumper, guess where they end up?

However, I do agree that when moving, the fumes will be minimal. Still there, but minimal.

Did you try bending the hangers in different places to maybe center it up a bit better? That's free. I have the UR cat back and initially I bent a hanger or two to get it centered better.

You said you removed it because the exhaust was "banging around". Did you try an upgraded set of exhaust hangers before giving up on it? It's a $60.99 solution.

pte 7075. Even though the stock exhaust "is good for 300 whp" which sure, you can get 300 whp, that only means your pushing your turbo harder to attain that 300 whp than someone else with a less restrictive exhaust.

I actually used some catapiller drive clamps to pull up on some of the hangers but you can only move it so much. It was a slight relief.

OP did you say a 7075? That is a huge turbo. My buddy has a 6867 that is good for over 900whp. Not to mention his redline is around 9,000 rpms. Btw why not get an exhaust shop to make a side exit exhaust?
