(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Installed: SURE SRI HTP Inlet JBR RMM Chromoly 88a Durometer Forge V1 BPV Cobb AP. Not installed yet. Next purchase: Autotech HPFP So far, car feels great. No check engine lights or fuel cutoffs. The mount has made (could be a placebo) the transmission feel better when shifting. Feels, notchier, like it's actually grabbing on, not like it's just sliding in softly, grinding away until it grabs. BPV can be heard easily. Adds a CLINK sound like two swords smacking into each other. Intake and inlet are amazing. Saw differences the second I installed it. Turbo spools a bit sooner now. It's also much louder. | Not Ranked : 0 score I daily drive 88 miles with JBR trilogy and Ksport coilovers. I didn't really start getting bumped around until the CO's. There is certainly more vibration and engine noise but I didn't really notice it affecting the ride much (the mounts).

| Not Ranked : 0 score The ride with stiff mounts is fine. Its the noise and vibrations that would be what your concerned about. And really my advice is you can get used to stiffer mounts. If you go for comfort you'll always wonder what "could be" after you feel the huge difference going to performance mounts will do.

RMM - added some vibration which goes away after a while. General feel of the car was much improved. PMM + RMM - added more vibration, mainly at idle with the a/c on. Feel of the car was improved and felt really good. TMM + PMM + RMM - No more addded vibration. This one added transmission noise. At idle you can hear the gear/flywheel chatter, and your differential whine is very audible while driving around a city. Didn't affect highway driving, and I don't know that I noticed to much improvement in the feel of the car. My reasoning for getting the tmm was to complete the set, and because the oem one can fail. I commute round trip ~70 miles a day, mostly highway, and I don't find it to be problem. The only time the car feels kinda ghetto is at stops with the a/c on, but the way the car feels with throttle response, shifting etc... is well worth it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score There's a really good review on all three mounts , 80d, with vids to compare. That should give you an idea of the noise levels inside cabin. I already ordered the 70d pmm and TMM, will post impressions once I get them on. On other note, my buddy with a gen2 has all three mounts, 70d, and combined with a catless DP and full exhaust it's LOUD inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score Another thing I forgot to add, is I now have no wheel hop at all. The tires spin of course, but none of that bouncing like you get with the stock mounts.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the help guys. So it's best to stay away from the 88? I do half and half driving between street and highway, with about 30 miles of DD a day. Of course, being in Miami, AC is a most. But if the engine improvement is that much, I guess I'll get the RMM and PMM. I'll see how it hows like that for me and will probably get the TMM later. So, the Torque Damper is completely useless? Stick to the mounts? |

![]() just stick to the 70d and see how it feels (for all three). I have no clue about this torque damper, never heard anyone mention it around here, mounts will be enough man.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just installed the just released new SURE TMM and PMM this weekend, in addition to the CP-E RMM I had. For me, the TMM added a little gear whine, but nothing loud or annoying at all. I felt it really did not add any extra vibrations, which surprised me. The car felt tighter and the shifting felt a little better. I did notice that with the RMM and TMM installed, with the stock PMM in there I seemed to get a little more torque steer than I normally felt. I then installed the PMM. This added noticeably more noise and vibrations in the cabin. The vibes are very fine, regular, and not bad, IMO, but they are definately there and you know the car is definately not stock; the rearview mirror vibrates on the highway, making things a little blurry at times . The biggest thing for me was the resonance/volume increase in the cabin. I have only about 80 miles on the mounts, so things are still breaking in and will be for a while, but I have noticed a decrease in both noise/vibes already. I also have to say, I did not really notice much improvement in shifting after installing the PMM, not as much as I would have hoped for, but maybe I have just not driven it with all three mounts on that much yet. I did start looking at sound/vibration dampening materials yesterday to maybe try to cut down on the resonance. I am going to drive it for a while and see how things go. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Until it's broke in there will be a lot of vibes with the 88. They will die down though, I hardly notice them anymore except for taking off from a stop. The vibrations aren't bad at all, it's the little rattles that develop because of them that will aggravate you every now and then. I just turn the radio up and no worries.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ill probably be looking into dampening inside the car. I'm very peculiar about random rattles in the car (I went on a crazy search trying to fix all rattles after installing sub) I'll be installing them one at a time. Give some time in between each other to make sure I notice a difference. Ill probably be starting with the stiffer ones and if I don't like it, go softer. Thanks @PureDrive for all those comments, gives me a great idea of what to expect. Do you think you'll be removing the PMM due to the vibrations? |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Got my SURE Intake and HTP Turbo Inlet installed. I gotta say, I'm loving it. The sound it makes and I do feel a difference with the car. Got my JBR RMM but haven't had a chance to install it. Hopefully this Friday when I go to Towers (have a friend who owns a shop) Will be getting an AP and BPV soon Anyone have any recommendations of BPV? A few people have told me Forge but I see HKS and Cobb as well. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Installed the JBR 88a RMM. There is a huge difference in every regard. Pros: shifts smoother and there is obviously a lot less wheel hop. Cons: that fucking shake. 88a is great for very aggressive driving. I plan on doing much more autocross but since they're far and few in between I think I will be going to 70a. So, 88a JBR RMM for sale. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Here are some pics of the new SURE Passenger side motor mount.... The quality is second to none and the thing appears very strong and well designed. I had it on my car for only 5 days. I had to take it off because of a problem I have with my left ear/jaw and this just had a little too much added cabin volume. I had other passengers in the car while I had this on and they had no issues and made no comments around it. Sadly enough, I just had to take it off as I drive all over the place for my job. I can't imagine a better PMM for this car. With that said, anyone interested in this can PM me as it is off the car and I am going to be selling it..... |

I'm going to end up buying a dogbone and selling this one soon anyway, figured I'd skip a step. I have great feedback on another site (R/C Tech Forums) same name/same email/same location. PM me if you're interested, thanks.

| Not Ranked : 0 score They did not make any comments around any of it; I didn't ask them their opinion's and I certainly didn't let them drive my car. As I stated, it increases the volume in the cabin (engine/exhaust sound), as any aftermarket PMM would/will, but it is just my left ear that is messed up; my right ear is fine. To give some kind of example, I listen to the volume low around 7-8. With the mount, I could still do that, but found myself turning it up to 9 at times. |

![]() I got the 88 and the vibration is extremely obvious getting out of first but doesn't show up anymore in the other gears, unless the RPMs drop too much and I try accelerating without downshifting. Im more worried about cabin noise since my gf is pretty picky about all that. Don't wanna hear constant nagging every time we go out in my car. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score jbr dogbone is the sex! i get tons of vibes in gear off throttle around 3k RPMs and then just from a dead stop starting. a very knowledgeable memeber (@phate) told me he had never felt as many vibes even in a fully mounted car, but i checked and retorqued everything and it's good to go.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Might be purchasing a Prosport gauge (if it all works out) anyone have any experience running the white lights on the prosport at night? I hear they're REALLY bright and annoying. I was hoping it'd match the white dash. |

| FWIW to those who are interested in mounts and are reading this, I rode in another member's car and he has the JBR trilogy 88 duro. It vibrates no differently, if anything less, than my car does with just the CP-E stage 2. When finances straighten out, JBRs other mounts are on my list, if I don't just buy the trilogy and take the CP-E out.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the post. Another perspective: I've done some brutal launches on the stock mounts, have never had a single instance of wheel hop in the wet or dry (please someone tell me how to create wheel hop in this car?), have never had the "engine hit the firewall" (this one still baffles me, I mean people need to learn rev matching to avoid this and wearing out their clutch at 50k miles), like my shifting action just fine, and don't have to explain to anyone about why my car rides like a tractor when they ride or drive it. Mounts will come, for me, when slicks come. Instead of wheel hop, adjust your computer so you go instead of peel wheels. Just a different perspective, that's all. Flame suit on. If you have the aftermarket stiff mounts and like them GREAT! I like happy people. I come from a family of late 90s Dodge Neons, one that ran 14.1 all motor; THOSE are bad factory motor mounts. You can tear them with ONE good 1-2 shift. For what Mazda had to do (handle almost 300lbs/ft of torque with 225mm summer tires and make the cabin smooth like everyone expects a Japanese car to be, they did a fucking great job). Just remember there's a reason why airplane wings flex and the Empire State Building sways up to 8 feet at the topmost floor on windy days. I'm always the devil's advocate. Waiting for 9900rpms to respond although he don't come to this forum much anymore. I'm coming for you son. Hey is that aftermarket mount completely SOLID? Or are there rubber bits in there somewhere? I would expect, with the naming convention being "xx durometer" that there is some rubber in there. I only question because I would be leary of any mount that doesn't give SOME amount of give even if its 10% of what the factory mount "gives." Thanks for the pic bro.
