Smoking turbo? Now i have a 2011 MS3 with 8500kms and its rly hard to tell if its smoking or not because it is winter and so not sure if its just the cold weather. What kinda gave me the huntch is that after I turn the car off smoke is still comming out of the exhaust for approx 5 secs or a bit more.... Could take a vid if needed... Might be overeacting but rather be on safe side... Also I had changed my oil in Nov and when I checked it last week oil line was at min so I got an oil change. |
I doubt it... Smoking turbo stock is not very common on GenPu's. Show vid anyways. |
it would smoke for longer than 5 seconds and you live in canada. sorry to burst your bubble but the great white north is cold and in the winter it will create some steam out of the exhaust. Step 1- drive genpu step 2- be happy thats it |
yeah, just condensation no need to worry. Smoking turbo is thick clouds of billowing smoke, you would know when you see it. |
Highly doubtful that you are smoking; you don't have the mods ( DP, AP, etc) that usually are linked to smoking turbos. Exhaust will smell like burning oil; if it doesn't you're golden! |
Thx guys! I can restart on having fun now;) |

the guys filming the vid from the wrx seem very punchable... |
Yea, very annoying. You'll know when you've got a bad seal, no question about it. |
I'm not sure what's more annoying, the smoke, or the gay asses filming the video. |
