SMS on Bose radio
 

Hi guys
I bought 2013 Mazda speed 3 last night. I have Bose stereo with Tom Tom navigation
I synced my I phone 5 with it and phone works but I can't get the text nor any massages to work. I checked with Mazda on line and looks like the I phone 5 can't do texting
Does anyboby has has any idea how to make it work.

You shouldn't be worried about texting while you're driving. There's probably a reason it doesn't work.

Focus on driving.

Drive.

That's what these cars are meant for.

Try going to the bluetooth settings screen on your phone (while its connected to the car).
Click on the blue arrow next to Mazda connection and see if there are any settings there, such as "notifications." If there are, toggle them and see if that works.

Apple does not support SMS

I'm not exactly sure you know what SMS means.

What you probably mean is HFP and MAP, which the iPhone 5 does support, or I wouldn't have been able to send and receive texts in my Fujitsu Ten head unit in my STi, as such:

No worries. Yeah I got the 5 (had 4) while I had the STi, and discovered one day that I was getting texts on the HU.

The HU will not let you enter a free text, nor does it allow you to read a text while moving (it only reads them out to you).

Don't work with the 4s either. The screen download message an I press yes then nowt happens. Quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn.
