So they stole my neighbor's G37 last night... I was walking my dog before going to work this morning and saw my neighbor walk out of his house. He just stopped in the middle of the road, and started looking for his car. He owns (or owned) a black 2010 G37 Sport. It was bone stock, but it still is a pretty expensive car as it is. This reminded me of the same exact incident that happened to me in March of this year, my Acura was stolen practically next to his. I understood the reason for them stealing my stock RSX-S, it was an 05, not too hard to steal and the K20 is a highly sought-after part in the Honda-rice market (especially here in S.FL). But this? I know this shit happens, but wtf. Makes me think about my own car now (agan). If that happened, I'd get insurance market value money minus deductible. But all my mods would go to shit. $4K or so. I don't have the luxury of owning a garaged home right now, I live in a townhouse. But if I did I would garage my car in a heartbeat. What security systems do you guys have in your pu's? I've read mixed reviews about LoJack, but seems to be the best thing out there right now if you live in an urban area. And before you post "move out of the ghetto" - I don't live in it. |
Put your mind at ease, Nobody wants to steel a Mazdaspeed let alone a Genpu. Your safe. /thread? |
i heard the smith and wesson m&p in 9mm was a pretty good security system... |
If your car got stolen, and your neighbors car got stolen, and you're afraid of your current car getting stolen, doesn't that automatically qualify as the ghetto? Quote:

What are you in the ghetto in boca?? I've had people get murdered around the corner.... Gun shotsare normal.... But that's typical dade county for ya |
surround your car in bear traps covered in leaves |

Two pittbulls are excellent theft deterrents as well |

I wish I could have me some pit bulls but they are illegal in my county haha |
Gen pu are so fuggly that nobody want them so calm down:dance: |
Cars here are stolen for parts and not a shitty smile up front :) |

reminds them of the police |
Place job applications around car |
So what is the first thing the thief can see the part or the smile? |
orrr you could not spend any more money on your car and save up to move to a better neighborhood? just a thought...get priorities straight |

nope, they are afraid of snakes. this thread might be getting racist? besides that, it being SOFLO I highly doubt they're black, I'm willing to bet they're Cuban. only fucking place I've been to in the United States that you had to speak Spanish to order from Mcdonals, not one god damn person there spoke English. |
It's many times referred to as Northern Cuba instead of South FL. |
how about putting a car cover over the car. not the best security but at least they wont be able to see the car driving by. or you could install a remote control flamethrower underneath. so if they break in it goes off and they burn to death. unless they bring baking soda |

No part of South Florida is "safe". These "diverse" people come from everywhere from Miami to West Palm and will cause trouble ANYWHERE. Daily bank robberies, car jackings, you name it it happens here. Its like SoCal, ghetto one block, and million dollar homes 1/4 mile away. I don't know where OP lives in Boca, but I guarantee it does not look ghetto at all. Its all the "urban" folk that come to boca, steal cars, do home invasions and rob people and then go back to Little Havana, Lake Worth, or Pompano Beach. The new trend is these guys are stealing a car, rear ending someone else in a nice area, and when they get out to look at the damage, they get robbed. Also, how does one steal a G37? Is there a way aside from a tow truck? Not that I need to know what device to use, I am just surprised they are able to take a new computerized car like that unless they got a key or a tow. |
Are you sure the Repo man didn't come and visit the G37?? |

I don't know what insurance company you have, but many will insure aftermarket parts if you tell them and pay a little extra. Some will get upset, but it can't hurt to ask. And if it's stolen from your property, homeowners insurance might cover them. |
dig a moat around your car....90% of them cant swim |
Most of you guys live in palm beach .... Where there are still white people left.... Where I live there's non..... I got drug dealers as my neighbor haha |

This nut who installed stereos at Circuit City way back in the day was telling me the alarm in his new truck. It puts out a high decibel sound that is painful. Now, I don't remember the particulars, but he said the legal limit was like 120Db or something like that. He said he had his shit modded to run 160Db. I was like "what would that do?" He said, well if they are in my truck for more than a couple seconds, their ear drums would explode, and blood would come out their ears. He said he tried it for a second with the door open, and he felt pain throughout his entire body, and had to instantly jump out. This is highly illegal.... but apparently the legal limits work well without killing anyone, lol. GL |
My GF is a insurance agent and she got me to add aftermarket parts to my policy. Just call them up and tell them you've added some aftermarket parts. They will ask what they are and how much it would cost to replace them. Basically your just adding to the amount your insurance company pays out if your car is stolen or totaled. I added $2k worth of aftermarket parts, even though I don't have some of them yet. It only costs a few more bucks a month. I have Geico for reference. |
