Somthing isn't adding up. mk7vsMs3

In what world does a built motor bnrs3 ms3 lose to an intake, tune,DP mk7 golf? Here is the video in question and it's bothering the fuck outa me.

The bigger question is if the MS3 was tuned and if so by who.

g00s3y 09-02-2016 06:34 AM

You can't put a bigger turbo on the car and not tune for it...

So obviously the question is who tuned it?
Is it an mk7 R?
Why does something like this bother you so much OP?
Doesn't matter if it's built, if the bnr is only running 93, it can only push so much boost and timing.

Is the car in question yours OP? If not why give a damn?

It's either a tuning issue or the motor is really down on power because it wasn't built properly. At any rate both problems can be assessed on a dyno.

Also, if the VW is a DSG. it's going to shift a lot faster, which helps out a bunch too.

MK7 GTIs are quick and respond to mods very well. Just a tune gets them just under 300whp and about 320ish wheel ft lbs. They arent slow.

I think it comes down to the tune on the MS3.
