STI vs MS3 Thought this was interesting. I did a search and it does not look like it's been posted before. STI VS 300hp Mazdaspeed 3 race car Laguna - Subaru Impreza WRX STI Forums: IWSTI.com |
Wow, STI owners admitting the awesomeness of the MS3. Mad respect. Except you know damn well they'd never admit it to us. Post #24 gave me a good laugh. :D I like how he bolded the "do not" Quote:

I too have mad respect for the WRX/STi platform. The hook up from AWD off the line makes me a little jealous. The buy in is just so expensive for an STi. A little over 22 out the door for my non-tech was a major selling point. I reached around 2500 in mods and am still below the quotes I was getting for a new WRX. Plus, I would miss the quirks of the speed :hump: |
that thread is from 2010 |
Haha I was just thinking the same thing. Reminds me of when I had my 03 evo and the people on the boards would give mad respect to the neon srt-4. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |
funny i had every even year except for for the 02 bug eye of wrx's and an 08 sti now i have a 10 speed3 for this reason .... now back to lurking and searching. |

The pistons are weak in the STi. It's why I sold my 2011 STi with 9800 miles on it and picked up a 2012 MS3. The STi is still way superior at autocross, but on a track the advantage disappears. If I can fix the camber in this car it would help a lot. My car history 2003 WRX -> 2008 MS3 -> 2011 STi -> 2012 MS3 I won't be going back to Subaru because of the way SoA treats their customers and how they handle warranty work. |
