Street Unit/Turbosmart BOV, and Sure Shortcut

Unfortunately,
I was one of those who saw the thread regarding Sure Motorsport/Street Unit's own demise, and their product failures. I recently purchased Turbosmart/Street Unit BOV and their shortcut. I didn't see the BOV being mentioned as one of the failed parts. Although, I would still like to get some of your comments on the BOV. I just want to be sure I am not screwing myself by having their name on a Turbsmart BOV. With respect to their shortcut, I am prety much going to take a loss due to the design flaw from the ghetgo. I am beyond pissed right now, and I just don't know where to begin....Thank god I didn't install the Shortcut this morning....

Im pretty sure they just sell the turbosmart, its not their own product or design in any way.

the only bad thing you did is give sure your money

BOV/BPVs are fine. As mentioned, they are manufactured by Turbosmart and have been in the game a long time. Rest easy.

I have sure shifter plate and counter weight haven't had problems yet... Have anyone of u guys removed yours yet.? If so what you decided to get the jbr one.

I think one of the problems with the SSP was that the two cables were rubbing a hole in the rubber while shifting. Not everyone was having that issue though. Either way F*CK Sure, replace it with JBR unit just to get the name SURE out of your car. Not to mention support a MUCH better vendor. @jbarone; may you take another sole to the greener side.

We have seen more issues than not with shift plate kits that are not designed like ours, not just the SURE. The few that do not have the issue with wearing holes in the the boots covering the cables are the minority. For some it takes longer to happen than others.

Yes just removed my Sure SSP, there was a little wear on the boot but nothing to crazy, I did go with JBR as I am in the process of switching all my SURE stuff to JBR. JBR SSP fits really well, and going into 5th gear is really short compared to SURE, I also like that the JBR is adjustable....great product overall

Had the ShortCut on for about 14k miles. Luckily I removed it before any noticeable damage.
