(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Stupid mistake. Need assistance. Anyway, my issue is this, I got my corksport TBE installed (that DP can die in a ditch, never again). Against my better judgement I had the resonator/muffler on my CorkSport exhaust removed (the one that connects the passenger pipe) and the drone and volume is absolutely terrible. I drive for a living in my car and I cannot stand the volume, especially when shifting and going up and down hills. I contacted CorkSport and apparently you cannot under any circumstance buy just that single pipe with a resonator. So I made the mistake of purchasing the axle back exhaust in hopes of there being a resonator attached to that one piece. Low and behold. No resonator. So now I have 1 cut up resonator-less pipe. And a complete shiny new axleback exhaust with no resonator sitting in my garage. My question being... Since I basically tossed $500 down the drain.. What are my options? Try and find a muffler shop that can attach a resonator to either exhaust or see if there is a local ms3 guy who wants to trade tail pipes (lol). I'm pretty damn angry at myself for chopping up my exhaust in the first place and now I have this complete other exhaust just sitting here and all I wanted was to get a new resonated section. I'm gonna try calling CorkSport again tomorrow and asking if there was anyway to make a blood sacrifice for just a simple pipe. Or if I have to buy the cbe AGAIN for one single piece. You see my dilemma here. I'm feeling really stupid for all this. So flame away. But if anyone has a friend who is local and wants a resonatedless CorkSport exhaust (I have two if you couldn't tell) and wants to trade their resonated one I'd be eternally grateful. I live in WA if anyone can help me out. Cheers

| Not Ranked : 0 score My question is, and it's legit, why did you get the exhaust for in the first place? Sound? Because the CBE alone (TBE less downpipe less test pipe = CBE) doesn't add any measurable power with or without a tune unless you're maxing the flow of the factory CBE (which is good for something like 400-430whp). My mods list is in my signature. If you want a quiet setup that is absolutely perfect for daily driving (with children in the car or just you alone) then take a peak and see what you need to cut/change to what you have now sitting around to make it work as intended. Welding a catalytic converter and/or a resonator to each pipe (downpipe and test pipe) will bring the volume down quite a bit. You will only have to endure the 3" CBE drone and that can also be tamed down by welding an additional resonator somewhere in a convenient place.

Odd news I have two axle backs. One resonated and one for those "I'm feeling loud and want to attract Hondas" days. Haha. Thanks guys.
