So this morning I was awoken by my girl telling me someone rang at the door, so I put a shirt on and to my suprise a Fedex truck was in my driveway!! Oh yes! Rims were supose to get here tomorow but here they are. 18x8,5, kinda weird I got two diff sets of center caps..

got them off wheeldude.com and there 1000$ more or less depending on size you want plus tax and shipping and all that. And also if you want to go 18x9,5 there also going to be more expensive.

If I got them they would be the exact same specs as yours. they should fit very well...

Well im planning to wrap them with sum 235-40-18 and 80% will go coilsovers so Ill have to roll fenders and tht fun stuff

I'm trying to figure out what the biggest tire is that I can fit on genpu that is not lowered without rolling the fenders or rubbing.

I believe people were running 245/40/18s, but I think that was the limit without rolling or rubbing. Check the TSW Nurburgring thread or whatever in the Wheel/Tire subform. I personally went with 235/40/18 and likely won't go any wider in the future.

Thanks man. I have read so much on here about wheel/tire sizes it makes my head spin. I plan to buy a set of wheels for summer tires. I then plan on putting all seasons on my stockers for winter use, not snow I have a truck for that. Having said that if I drop serious money I would like a performance inprovement over stock for summer use. It seems like 235/40/18 is a very popular choice. It seems like 44 offset will work with those tires?

I'm not sure about the offset on these cars, but I know that a couple people in the TSW Nurburgring thread (rfinkle2 and dizzyd) were running like 235/40/18 or 245/40/18 tires on 18x8.5 +45 nurburgrings. Since the OP got a 44 offset, I'm going to assume that he did his research and knew that it would work on the genpu.

Not sure if the 2nd gen have different sized shocks, perches etc. But on my gen1 i'm running a 245/40 with et48 up front, and there is little room before it starts rubbing the shock. 5mm spacer and will work perfect
