Test Mode & How to turn off boost gauge Hey everyone, I have something neat to share that was discovered by accident the other day. I learned out to turn off the factory boost gauge. With the car in ON but the engine off repeatedly press the trip button. The boost gauge will start flashing and will then be able to be cycled on and off by pressing the trip button. Turn the car to off to keep the setting that you selected. Now for the test mode, with the car in the ON position press and hold the trip button. After a wait of about 10 seconds the car will enter it's test mode. There are 8 tests that are preformed some of which I have no idea what they do. Test 1 is a gauge sweep, test 2 I think is how much fuel is in the tank, 4th seems to be the beep test, and some others are some light tests. Has anyone else scene this before? Could some of you try it and see if your results are the same as mine. I did it with another 2010 Speed3 and some of his numbers on the tests were different. |

I've seen this written on this forum a few differant times. |
This is in the owners manual FYI. |
Does anyone have any other info about the Test mode? Who reads manuals? I honestly didn't know that or I wouldn't have posted it. |
search. never tried it myself. google and the search button are your best options on here. |
Yes I did that and didn't find anything. Hence why my post count is low. I search through the Gen2 sections and google and didn't find anything. I post something that I think might be relevant. If nobody cares then mods feel free to delete this thread. |
All that matters is that we love you! |
Why? :gives: |

I downloaded the manual ahead of time and read the entire thing, so I knew how it all worked before I got to the dealership. I was buying the car almost 300mi from home so I didn't want to waste a lot of time learning about it while I was at the dealership. |
