Are these worth doing??? The mazda dealer near me said i can only do a CBE and a SRI. i really wanted to do turbo back and new HPFP with Cobb AP but i don't want to void the warranty. the question is it worth doing the CBE and SRI without AP and HPHF???? and is it safe????:usa: |
:/ |
Look at @Raiders sig.. This has been discussed |
This is a largely warranty free forum. |
Stock out before dealership visits? |
your first mistake was even considering advice from a dealership |
I just don't want to get my balls busted if something happens, was thinking i could do these mods and work on warranty friendly things like a big brake kit, wheel tire setup and when i got closer to the end of the warranty start getting into the good shit. Cobb AP, HPFP, FMIC, TBE. Quote:

Or don't be a bitch and mod the car.....and stock out if any problems....or just deal not having a warranty, have to pay to play. Or, keep it stock and not worry about voiding your warranty. |

just learn how to stock out your car and youll be fine...but the more parts you put on your car, typically the more likely youll need warranty work later on. |
Stock out before you go to the dealership and also i thought the same thing when i got my ms3. |
First of all.. I just want to say that I'm suprised the people who have viewed this thread are being so nice. . . .they usually aren't. . . .So you got pretty lucky today.. Second.. You have 3 options. . . .Do what you want to the car and say FUCK THAT SHITTY WARRANTY. . . .Do reasonable mods that you can undo so that you won't lose your warranty and can still play and have fun. . . .or don't mod (shitty, boring, gay-ass option) But you knew all that all ready I'm sure.. So why did I bother wasting the time typing.. I don't even know. . . .ANYWAY. . . .I find that once you start doing stuff to your car, it's hard to stop. . . .I'd say that when you start modding and everything is still easy to take on and off, that's when you stock out for issues. . . .Once you get past the easy things, well, then it's up to you if you want to continue stocking out (p.s. I seriously doubt they are gonna know you changed the HPFP internals so don't even worry about that). |
What the fuck is a warranty? |
I haven't been to the dealer since I first bought the car. Just mod the car, and take it to a real mechanic if any issues arise. |
No room for vagina's on this forum. Unless they're noodz... Let's not forget to donate either EDIT*** Speaking of noodz.. do you have a girlfriend? |
^^Lolz |

Anyways, listen op, the dealer will tell you all kinds of stupid ass shit because obviously, they dont want to warranty shit. I don't give a fuck what a dealer tells me, they will say whatever needs to be said, and I promise you this, not one of them is willing to put it down on paper that if you did any type of mods, you'll be covered. There is no such thing as a dealer friendly mod in my opinion. Your original question was, are these things worth doing? Answer is simple. If you want to unlock potential in the speed, you have to do certain shit. Period. And with that, now you have to look at yourself in the rearview mirror, and ask yourself, am I willing to risk breaking shit, and go faster, or should I have just bought a regular Mazda 3 and went herra frush with a fart can? I come from the old school, and you gotta pay to play. Only slow cars have warrantys. But what do I know? I do hair. |
@Iamjohndavis32 - Follow the golden rules of Mazda Modding. If you blow or have an issue, contact your fellow Mazda brothers and they will help you out. Donate to the forum to get access to more knowledge than most tuning shops. From that point you can always stock out and let the dealer mess with it. I know I did when I added a window to my block. Just remember, if you pick up a wrench make sure you have the balls to back it. |
Hey thanks to the guys who answered the question for a guy thats new to forums and to the car. Everyone else , suck a fat babies dick |
