Default Time to finish what I started

My MS3 turned two last month. I've got about 16,000 miles on it and have done what most people do to it. SRI, TIP, and a test pipe. I've decided to take the leap and get the rest of what I want for the car. Looks like I'm going with an AP and CP-e components.

Catted DP
FMIC
HPFP

I live relatively close to CP-e and they've been awesome in the past when I swapped out my motor mount. Also thinking about installing the other two motor mounts from CP-e as well.

Besides the obvious (making sure the tune is right) is there anything I should consider? The car is a weekender at best and I really like taking it to the track. I'm looking forward to a little more mid range and top end.

I don't see a fuel pump mentioned anywhere in your post/sig, I think you will need one with that many mods. Also, you would probably benefit from a proper custom tune after all the mods are installed, to keep things safe and making and maximizing your gains.

you must not drive much at all...

I've had my speed for under 2 months and have put about 2500 miles on it. And I don't think that I drive much...some guys here go 100+ miles a day.

OP, path sounds good. The cp-e pump is a good safety measure vs internals, but it's super expensive. Also, IMO, there's no need for an fmic with a bolted k04 system...and upgraded tmic will be cheaper and should be just as effective (not in traffic, mind you, but you won't be boosting in heavy traffic anyway). That's just my preference though, and it really is dependent on budget (of which mine is minimal).

Jbr mounts ftw. I have had all three cpe mounts rip on me and none of them made it 20k.

Edit: 41k on 2010... Would have more but blown motor has taken 1.5 months so far. Hopefully back to putting on miles in another week or so.

I spoke with the guys at cp-e a lot about the intercooler. They basically said the same thing and said the tmic they have flows better than the fmic. I'm going to go with the fmic for two reasons: first I do plan on upgrading the turbo and internal down the road. Second I really enjoy autoX and track days. I have never seen an issue with heat soak during track days but have def seen it at autoX events.

I appreciate the input from everyone. Im looking forward to getting deep into my AP.

sounds like you have good reasons then. the TMIC flows better because there are a lot less frictional losses due to length, but I can see heatsoak being an issue in auto-x. I never plan to track my car so I'm gonna go full stealth...and IF I ever go BT I'll set up an FMIC too.
