Default Too bad we don't have BBR here in the US

While it may not be the cheapest way to go, it'd be nice if we had this kind of aftermarket support. This shit's even warranteed.

...the parts prices & "fitting" charges are actually quite fair in a world of inflated parts prices & labor rates...

Price: £1,645 (Stage 2) + £395 (fitting). BBR Springs £165 + £300 (fitting inc. full geometry set up)

Stage 2 parts:............................................ ........£1,645.00 = $2,562.75

Stage 2 fitting (installation):................................... ..£ 395.00 = $ 615.37

BBR Springs:.......................................... ................£ 165.00 = $ 257.05

BBR Springs fitting inc. geometry set up:......................£ 300.00 = $ 467.37

Total expense........................................... ...........£2,505.00 = $3,902.54

Might be well worth the just under $4k expense for a second party set up that comes with a warranty.

Yeah...all told it actually isn't exhorbitantly expensive, though it is a little on the pricy side. Assuming that they produce products with decent build quality, I'd be happy to drop 4k to get that kind of improvement over stock...particularly if there's a chance of a larger turbo and ~ 400bhp.

Looks like an accessport and bolt-ons to me. But being warrantied is cool. Sounds like its for the type of person that doesn't want to mod but wants it to be better. I love modding and choosing what goes on the car too much to buy something like this. Now if I was choosing between a 430 and a 430 Scuderia....I'll choose the factory tuned upgrade

Great MS3, but all this can be done by buying parts from Edge Autosport, Cobb, CP-E and Corksport.

JP, the GTX28 series is out now too. Any good from using a GTX28RS or other GTX28 series. I like the GtX30 series but I like the fast spool of the K04...

Pretty sure UK doesn't have any good tuning options like the accessport, so there's probably more market for this type of staged upgrade over there.

It's a stage two car we're driving, the engine zesty and the raw power available making it indecently quick for a hot hatch. There's now a simply colossal spread of torque: for example, you can leave a 30mph zone in fourth gear at around 2,500rpm, summon full throttle, and the MPS will surge forward without a pause, the boost gauge hitting maximum almost instantly and one long seamless, torrent of acceleration then following.

Unfortunately the 2871 is not going to the GTX at least until further notice. So you'll have to swap the mani and get a little more custom setup to use the GTX28. You can make a GT/GTX3071 spool fast, especially at lower boost. The A/R is small enough on these bolt-on kits that it doesn't make it super laggy.

How come BBR company is capable only till 400 HP and in he US you get 500 HP or more without hardware upgrade?

Does it make any sense?

500 Hp that is like a lamborghini gallardo almost..

and i never find any 60-120mph times (or simply 0-Vmax times) !!!

You'll need a larger turbo for 400whp which realistically is 460 bhp (we only lose 15% in drivetrain or so). That's also the cap for stock injectors.

The numbers are also slightly skewed because a European Horsepower is not the same as an American horsepower due to units conversions. I believe the definition of one horsepower is the ability to move 50 lbs per foot per second, however since they use KG's and meters the numbers are different, hence why they say a stock "MPS" has 256 BHP. So that 320 (European) BHP is actually a little healthier and probably translates to right around 300 (american) WHP if im not mistaken, i didnt bother to actually do the math. That would be pretty cool.

320 horsepower (metric hk, DIN, PS) = 315.622 horsepower (hp)

Thats would be the same as BHP since its the power inside the engine/crank.
WHP you have to calculate with the driveline loss, which is (15%??) for ms3 and ~20 for ms6?

The point i was making was that an american hp does not = a european, thats what the "mazdaspeed3" makes 263 bhp and the "mps3" makes 256. identical engines yes, ours is just "rated" slightly higher. So take what they're saying is 320 brake (European) horsepower and it should likewise translate to more brake (American) horsepower correct (and thusly more whp)? Please correct me if im wrong but this seems to make sense, the cars make the same power its just different units of measurement. 12 inches is not more than a foot just because theres 12 of them you know?

Measurement is what I do. I'm an aerospace machinist. I don't care what they're units are.
That cock is trying to say our ms3's with 500whp, would be the equivalent of their 400bhp. Which is 100% certainly not the case.
