Truly Insignificant Issue 88000 trouble free miles on my 2011 Speed3, so I'll ask about a tiny thing that has me troubled. Around the shift boot and front part of the console, I find tiny, white specks of material, as if something in the shifter is grinding itself up. When I clean it up, they're always back in a few days. Should I just get a life and forget about it? |
Dandruff? |
It could be some of the plastic from the shifter assembly, but I have not idea how that would get out from under the shift boot. |

I would first guess that it's coming from outside the shift assembly, since that area is "sealed" (generally speaking, unless you have a hole in the boot.) It could be skin or could be coming from somewhere else such as the sunglass compartment above? |
This problem is getting more serious; I just noticed a similar condition around the shifter in my dyno queen '98 Corvette. Can anyone recommend a good dandruff shampoo? |
Head & Shoulders, use it for a week, report back with findings. |
Well this thread took a direction I didn't anticipate..... |
I'm sure @predapio; has a good dandruff shampoo recommendation for you. |
