Turbo Inlet Lossening I have driven about 300 miles since I installed the Corksport turbo inlet and intake and I am amazed of the sound and the increase in throttle response. I inspected all of my fittings since I am doing a long roadtrip here tomorrow and I noticed that the turbo inlet has backed up a few millimeters from the turbo. I wiggled it and didnt see any play so I tightened it down and wanted to ask you all if I should reposition it tomorrow when I get some free time. The clamp is contacting the shroud on the turbo I just dont know if I should take the battery/ecu/enclosure out to push the inlet back flush onto the turbo. Brian |
bring tools and a flashlight |
Well that was already a given. I bring tools and a flashlight whenever I go away from my house. Is that saying to expect something bad or what? |
put some back into it and tighten that shit down or get a better clamp that actually holds |
bring tools and a fleshlight |
mine slipped off before. Are you monitoring trims? |
No, I am not monitoring trims. Waiting for my AP to come in. I think I will play it safe and remove everything to tighten it down tomorrow. Now that I have taken everything apart once it shouldnt take too long. |
Anyone? |
i thought u just answered yourself? if its tight and is on there secure i doesnt really matter if its only a few mm off of not being all the way on the turbo. if its more than that push it in farther |
Just tighten it as hard as you can without cutting into the silicone or fucking anything up. |
I say go for some better clamps when you have the time to throw them in. Definitely doesn't hurt. In the mean time, I'd just keep an eye on it...no big deal if it's still snug. |
i mean hell, it comes hanging off from the factory, we could probably throw it away and be alright |
