UltraGauge > Standalone Wideband?

ok,
so i have heard fabulous things about the ultra gauge or any other gauge that is ODB-II based.
it is awesome that mazda decided to have the ECU monitor such things as vac-boost, AFR's thanks tot he factory wideband and other good things.
but is the ultra-gauge style gauge a replacement for an actual Wideband like a innovate or AEM?

i'm asking this because people are relying on this little gauge to measure AFR's but i cannot believe it can be that accurate being read through the ODB-II.

another question is, is there a benefit of having a pyrometer gauge on the speed3 as well?

I use my AP to log to see everything precisely, if I'm using a new tune or just to see how the tune is running at least once a month. I use the ultra gauge all other times mainly to monitor engine coolant temp, fuel psi, long/short term fuel trims, intake air temp, and boost.
