Default Used fuel pump internals

My buddy is offering me his used autotech fuel pump internals from his 2010 ms3 that he used the pump for 10K miles. is it worth it to install on mine, or should I just get a new one? How long will these internals last. Tried searching for a lifespan on these but havne't had any luck. Sorry if its a dumb question

Shouldn't be any issues, lots of guys run internals for waay longer than 10k with no issues (can't verify by personal experience because I've only had mine for 5k) and if they are free, you can take the $350 you would have spent on internals and put that towards an AP (assuming you don't already have one, add mods to sig)

45k miles on my internals and no signs of a problem. As long as they were installed and removed correctly without damaging them they're fine.

anavrinIV brings up a good point... check for surface wear on the internals before you install them and if you see and nicks or gouges or otherwise fucked looking bits maybe don't install them.

I somehow doubt that if they are coming from your friends car, and they have been used for 10k miles that there are any issues with them, but your friend still could possibly jack them up upon removal...

That's not a bad idea. It would be easier. It does seem kind of pointless to rip both pumps apart to swap the internals.
