Velocity Factor Boca Raton, FL Felipe, Octavian, Peter and the rest of the team are amazing! I drove from the Tampa area to have them upgrade my Mazdaspeed 3 to Stage 2, because of the reviews I read and the recommendations made on the forums. I am glad I made the trip! These guys had me in at 10 and completely bolted up, test driven and out the door by 3:30. Try that at any other shop...they did a Cobb Turbo back exhaust/down pipe, cp-e TMIC, powder coated valve cover, Cobb RMM, colder plugs, Cobb Accessport, Forge Diverter Valve and a synthetic oil change. After the test drive, they adjusted my air pressure and top offed all my fluids. While waiting Felipe even bought me lunch! Not sure why guys are being hard on this shop? The team was beyond professional and went out of their way to ensure I was happy and make me feel welcome! They even talked me out of parts I didn't need at this point! If you are looking to go from mild to wild, Velocity Factor is the shop! Thanks again guys! |
They buttered you up because they burned their reputation with local speed owners a long time ago. @adlpb; can tell you stories What's funny is I recently came across people in other platforms that have had issues with them. My advice to you, check their work. Make sure all the bolts are tight and everything is installed properly. May God help you son. |

inb4OPgetskyletuned Seriously OP, those guys have burned out their reputation, for good reason. I would double check all the work they did, and then take a good look at that receipt... he didn't "buy you lunch," he just kissed you after putting it in your butt. Sorry but it's the harsh truth. |
I installed all those parts in my speed for free, oh and by myself. Did they install the internals? |
+1 about internals. Did they tune you? |

Hahaha I feel bad for you son Sent while slipping my clutch!!! |
OP, I see you've been on msf since 2010 so i'm wondering why you never tried reaching out to your local NATOR chapter to help you with the install and ask NATOR FL in general about wanting to use specific shops for installs. By doing that you would have accomplished a couple of things in the process: 1. By researching and asking questions about specific shops, you would've received feedback from people as to what problems they had with certain shops and why you should avoid them like the plague. 2. By reaching out to your local NATOR chapter, they would have most likely helped you with the install of your parts, provided food, saved you money. and you would've met a great bunch of guys that enjoy their Speeds as much as you do and would treat your car like it was their own. 3. NATOR would never steer you wrong. These guys no their shit. If there's a reason they wouldn't recommend a shop or dealership, it's for a good reason. I'm grateful for their knowledge and experience. |
I bought this Speed is 2010, within a year, I received a new job that came with a company car (2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi). I sold my car to my dad. My company car lease is ending this month and my company has transitioned to auto allowances. Shortly after selling my car, my dad had health complications and past away. The car MS3 had low miles on it, so I bought cheap back from my mom. So I am back after a three year hiatus. Nator didn't even cross my mind, because of not being on here. So far I am thrilled with the work done, although the car could pull harder in first and second to really make me happy. Quote:

I already had KMD HPFP internals. |
Crooks and scumbags. Im sorry but there is nothing that a person who needs help installing an accessport can say to convince me otherwise. |

This hurt my anus........ |
I understand going to a shop. Working on a car can be intimidating. I was nervous too until I met my Nator chapter. I'm glad you had a nice experience, you should still attempt to meet the Nator guys who can help you in the future. Murica' |
I just don't see $3300 worth of parts or labor. No wonder they treated you so well. Could have spent much less through vip fs section and hanging with nator. |
Holy shit they charged $3300 for just that?! Omfg you could've bought a new turbo and a quality escort for that. Murica' |
I see about $2600 in parts (didn't actually look up retail values. Just off the dome). That means that labor probably accounted for about $600-700. 650/5=$130 per hour.... Damn that's crazy. And to think "other shops" were asking 4k. |
That's cute. How long have you been working there? |
That is not including the Trip, Miles on the car, Gas and other expenses... |

If so I'm not really sure how where I work would affect my ability to add up the cost of ots parts and do some simple math. Either way I'm pretty nce. Edit: For the sake of accuracy I went back and checked all the costs, an I was a little low. So labor was probably closer to $90-100. So not too bad really. At least based off what it costs up here in the northeast. |
We could have saved you a lot of that money, just sayin. |

^^exactly what I thought Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk 4 |
Especially if they only made $100 off him for 5-1/2 hours of work |
Mother of fucking god. I'll keep it simple. I had to get my car towed home when I was a lazy fuck due to their work. |

But this next part is for you. I hope that next time you stop for gas...you almost hit your door on those annoying concrete things next to the pump. Like the door comes to within an inch and freaks you out for à split second cause you flung it open and didn't consider its location. And your heart beats a little bit faster for like 4 seconds. And in that moment...you'll think of me. |
Lol that is an oddly specific scenario. |
