What is it? 1 Attachment(s) While doing some work on a couple of 2012 Pu(s) I spotted this on the rear suspension. I think it is a feedback device for the stability control but have not seen it before not on my 2010. |
VTEK modulator control unit. |

i've seen something like that before you wouldn't happen to have auto leveling headlights? |
Might have something to do with that dynamic dampening thing they screw around with in the rear suspension. One of our 2010 has that rubber chunk on the rear brace while the other one doesn't. They look like motor mounts. Couldn't figure out what the hell it was for a while. |
It is a Tech package so yes it does have self levelers, The other one was a non-tech and had it as well. |
hmm that was my thought alot of cars with self levers use something like that with a sensor up top to detect the level of the headlights, but the adjustable dampers sounds like a idea. |
It's the sensor for the auto leveling headlights. |
thats what i said, but he said he has seen it on ones without self levelers? |
Yeah. Looked it up on oem Mazda parts. Its a level sensor. It was actual under the electronics and ride control. So I doubt its just for the headlights. |
Thanks,it just had perked my curiosity. |
