What is this!?! 1 Attachment(s) I didn't take this picture, but my tube (or whatever it is) isn't connected to anything and I have no idea how long i've been driving like this. It looks like it's coming from the radiator?:aargh4: I have a CS SRI/TIP installed. EDIT*** I feel stupid now, I realize that tube (or whatever it is) was connected to the bottom of my airbox. What good does it do now if I have a SRI/TIP? |
Nothing. Remove it. Carry on with life. |
I removed it when I installed my intake personally. It just unclips from a box that's inside the bumper cover. |
Remove it, weight reduction bruh!! |
I left it when I installed my SRI thinking it still will dump a little cool air around the filter. But realistically, it don't do squat. I'll be removing it to clean up the bay. |
The tube It is the tube which brings in outside air for the stock air box. I have a cobb cold air box(I think that is the name) which connects to the said pipe which in turn is supposed to supply fresh air from outside for the intake, instead of sucking in hot air from engine bay. |

el tube :notworthy:Ah, commonsense strikes again, good point sir. On a side note, you just helped me with my debate about buying a JBR 3 inch. The box will be coming out so that someone in this forum could buy it. |
Once you have 150 posts you can sell... |

Turbo heat = power? lol |
More like, then it gets heated up by the turbo, then recooled by the intercooler. The BAT's are going to be roughly the same temperature at the end of the process whether you use the ram or cold air style intakes. Trying to achieve a 5° drop at the inlet side isn't going to help that much. |
